first id like to say hello and way to go folks with this web site. Secondly id like to say something about the original topic of this thread.

in the last year ive begun trying to learn everything i possible can about politics and religious history. Ive read books, watched tv and internet programs and frequently involve myself in a multitude of conversation. The one thing i think ive realy gotten out of all of it ist that extremism, and fundamentalism in any form is harmful to humankind.
In my opinion the modern Democratic AND Republican parties are shadows of their honorable histories. Both have bad things about them, for example: Democrates wont do anything to stop abortion, and Republicans still trust coorperations enough to try supply side economics with little historical succes to back it up. So using the lables liberal and conservative can only be correct when talking about the fringe extremists of both parties.

There needs to be new more moderate candidates willing to compromise using wisdom, compasion, and morals(whether those morals come from a hebrew bible, a christian one, or a koran should make no difference) and still keep all of the people in mind. This is the only possible way to strengthen our nation and to encourage other nations to follow in our stead.
