Interesting that the right worships instead a failed actor who made us into a debtor nation.

It's good to know that President Ronald Reagan, perhaps the greatest President of the 20th Century, who has been out of office for at least 25 years and dead for 9 years, still installs such fear into Liberals that they still have to bash him.

I once heard a saying "Show me who your enemies are and I will know what kind of person you are." and by the type of person who still hates President Reagan, even after all these years, and it just fosters my good opinion of him.

Question - in what year did Reagan present a balanced budget?

If your answer is 'never', then I think you need to re-word your post.

Fuck you. Look at all the threads trashing FDR.

This is a political forum. It's appropriate to discuss the failed policies and ideology of Ronald Reagan.

You can think what ever you want.

What you think of what I think doesn't matter to me at all.

There is more to being a President than just balancing the budget. If that were the end all, be all, then we wouldn't need a President. We'd need an Accountant.

But not being an American Citizen, or even living here, and only having a Socialist view of the United States, I'm not surprised that you are so often wrong.

I must have touched a nerve.

I didn't say anything about whether or not this thread had the right to exist or if the OP was wrong for starting it.

Being willing to ignore the truth is exactly what is wrong with the GObP/R now.

Its also why they are losing support - and votes.

Yes, they have hate and racism working for them now but thats not enough.

Then it's a good thing conservatives don't expect Obama to do so, right?

btw. I am not a socialist. Never have been. Not even close!

I must be confusing you with that other poster you remind so much of.

But then he often claimed not to be a socialist, even though nearly every policy he endorse was socialistic in nature.

Gospel according to the looney left. Try again

Shroom -

While I agree Dems might be afraid of the vote-pulling power of the Gipper, it's also worth considering many of their criticisms of the man with an open mind.

It is really without question that Reagan began the chronic overspending endemic within American politics since his time if office. You should acknowledge that.

I have 0 interest in who I remind you of, and even less in what they said or thought.

And Eisenhower warned us about the military industrial complex that is destroying our country as we speak.

Ike was a better president than what we have today.. better than Reagan?? Not at all.. Good, yes.. Great, no...

And Reagan, even with me liking a majority of what he did, was not perfect and I do not hold everything he did as gospel

Reagan was also dealing with a much different military situation (as was Ike) with our enemies than Obamalama is now.. also dealing with a military decimated by the likes of Carter. A military that had to be basically rebuilt... and that did take a lot of spending.. unfortunately, the DEM congress he dealt with some of the time was not into hearing cuts in their dear entitlement programs in order to spend to revamp the military... goes to show you that the entitlement spending (whether it be a result of DEM or REP budgets) is a major source of our financial problems and needs to be eliminated

its always the Republicans with you.....question....have the Democrats ever lied or fucked someone over?...or does their shit just not stink?....
