Anyone heard of it? The following is an article about the project where 34 nations are taking part to find a way to build a FUSION plant – the same way the sun operates. Could be huge leap for Man if it comes to fruition.

One giant leap for mankind: £13bn Iter project makes breakthrough in the quest for nuclear fusion, a solution to climate change and an age of clean, cheap energy - Science - News - The Independent

It's the best long term solution to the world's energy problems. IMO, we should be putting our resources into fusion research in preference to most other avenues. Not only is the fuel practically infinite and cheap, it wouldn't contribute to the creation of GHGs. I checked and I've mentioned ITER in 44 posts. I was wondering when someone else was going to notice them. Apparently unless Drudge mentions them, it must be a tree-hugging liberal loon idea!!!
