The foolishness of socialism...

Yeah but fuck Jeff Bezos. The idea of him going broke only puts a smile on my face.

He is worth 110 billion dollars, I think he would be ok if he had to pay 7 billion in taxes. I do not think he would be going hungry.

Maybe so. In the big picture, he probably owes that money to the american people for all the damage he's done to local "brick and mortar" business. Lol, but that tax money they bleed from him won't be used to rebuild communities destroyed by e-commerce. It will be used to pay for black and hispanic people's constant unnecessary emergency room visits.

If you cannot compete in the business world you go extinct, do not blame it on Amazon. This was the same weak argument people used against WalMart and Home Depot and the like. They found a better business model and made it work, the same with Bezos. He does not owe shit to anyone. It is called capitalism and it is what makes this country move.

Companies like Walmart and Amazon are internationalists who play nice with evil regimes like China and work to undermine American independence by subjecting us to shoddy products and censorship.

They are businesses, their only loyalty is to themselves and their shareholders, the way any good business should be. Capitalism knows not borders or nations, the point of a business is to make money, that is their only reason to exist.

And that's why your brand of amoral capitalism is a cancer to a healthy society. As long as it turns a profit, anything is for up for sale and that includes freedom.

I am sorry that you do not understand capitalism, but it is what it is. Without capitalism there would never be enough money or goods to fund your socialist utopia.

By the way, if you do not like Walmart or Amazon do not use them...it is pretty simple.

Where the hell is a person supposed to buy their daily needs when the entire town is nothing but McDonalds and Walmarts? Even if we wanted to object to the corrupt business practices, a man's gotta eat. We're gradually becoming slaves to these evil corporations and it won't be long til we're subjected to oppressive Chinese laws on free expression.

I have never seen such a town and I have traveled extensively around this great country of ours.

It is interesting that you are against big corporations having such a "monopoly" over our lives but you fully support giving our own government a Chinese like monopoly over our lives.

Where do YOU go to buy groceries? Where I live there's only two choices, Walmart or Giant Eagle. The only type of independent enterprise that stands a chance around here are the hipster restaurants in the downtown sector where people employed by the local govt bureaucracy eat their lunches. The outlying residential areas are wastelands of urban blight: crumbling parking lots and abandoned storefronts.

I buy my groceries mostly from a local company that has grown to about 100 stores in the metro area I live close to. We have a WalMart and a few other choices in my town, but I prefer this store, so that is what I use.

If those are the only choices you have it is because the consumers of your area choose that by giving those two places all their business.

I have little sympathy for companies that cannot compete, it is not the fault of bigger companies they were better at what they do. WalMart started off with a single store just like everyone else. Sam Walton was just better at the business.

When I moved to the wonderful city of Yuma Az there was one hardware store, a little mom and pop kind of place. They were so outrageously overpriced that people doing any sort of project more than a simple thing drove 2 hours one way to Phoenix to get what they needed as it was still cheaper. Home Depot and Lowes opened stores in the town about a year later and the local place promptly went out of business, as they should have since they could not adapt.

"Capitalism knows not borders or nations,"

yes it does.

else why would trump (or the USA) use tariffs?

Tariffs are just the opposite of Capitalism, they are a form of socialism used to control the economy.

So when that first 7 billion doesn’t pay for everything the left wants we go get another what? 14 billion next time? Even Besos eventually runs out of money.

Giant eagle is local, the nearest one from me is over 2,000 miles

Jeff Bezos would pay nearly $7 billion to Elizabeth Warren's Medicare-for-all tax

Why even own a business when the governments going to take everything from you, redistribution is for fucking pieces of shit.

And the money won’t even help anybody except for career politicians/deep state… Because tax money never leaves career politicians pockets. Lol
ahemmm....

OOPS CORRECTION, A MONTH, NOT DAY

Jeff Bezos earns that much money, on average, every single month he works...
let that sink in...

he would not get paid, for simply 1 month of work out of a year.

How much does Jeff Bezos earn per day?
