The Feds Had Better Stop Alabama

The current dilemma in which some of Georgia’s growers find themselves can be easily avoided by simply using the long existing federal foreign guest worker system known as the H2A visa program.

A H2A visa program establishes lawful means for agricultural employers who anticipate a shortage of domestic workers to bring an unlimited number of temporary foreign workers into the United States.

You move here if you think it is so heavenly, it actually sucks balls economically but you might like the openly racist dickheads who live here.

The feds will stop Alabama because immigration is the fed's responsibility, not Alabama's. Right or wrong, good idea or bad idea, Alabama doesn't have the authority.

Alabama Screwed-UP....
BIG-TIME
!!!

"Alabama’s harsh immigration law has stirred controversy since it went into effect in September. The statute, which among other things requires police to question people they suspect of being in the U.S. illegally, has prompted thousands of immigrants to flee the state. The law’s backers believed out-of-work Alabamians would snap up the jobs those immigrants once held.

Many Alabamans have rejected hard, dirty, low-paying jobs that immigrants once performed: picking tomatoes, working in chicken plants, and gutting catfish. Now employers struggle to fill those positions. Despite the state’s 8.1 percent jobless rate, the four job categories that once hired most of the state’s immigrants—agriculture, construction, food service, and hospitality—employ fewer people than they did before the law went into effect."

ROFL! Since when are states not authorize to enforce federal law? Immigration would be the first example I have ever hear of. Drug laws, for instance, are mostly federal. Do you think a cop can't bust you for possession of Marijuana?

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Alabama's unemployment rate declined more rapidly than any other state's in December, providing more evidence that the Alabama economy is rebounding, experts said.

Alabama's jobless rate fell from 8.7 percent in November to 8.1 percent last month, a drop of 0.6 percentage points, the biggest decline among the states, according to a report Tuesday from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

How many auto execs have they stopped in Alabama due to the new law? Yeah, that is good for business.

It surely didn't take them long to totally fuck-things-up!!!

I created a program where nonviolent criminal offenders are used instead of migrant illegal garbage.being taken seriously, and being reviewed.

It still sucks here economically but it is getting better, attributing this entirely to the immigration law that they are about to gut is wrong, farm work basically ended in sept. and will not start up again until mid summer. The chicken plants had to grudgingly hire documented workers but the GOP is about to quietly announce "modifications" to the law in a couple of weeks that should fix that.

Yeah, it sounds like it is going real well there.

In the couple months since Alabama passed HB 56, among the harshest immigration laws in the nation, they have: a) seen crops rot in the fields because farmers cannot find workers to pick the fruits and vegetables, which has cost the state potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue; b) threatened the water service of potential undocumented immigrants; c) forced charities to seek citizenship papers from their recipients, even though that provision and others have been blocked by multiple courts; d) witnessed frustrated employers speak out about the loss of legal Hispanic workers, who have left the state in droves; e) led to 15% of Hispanic students being afraid to attend school; f) arrested top executives of two automakers, Mercedes-Benz and Honda, who were in the state overseeing their plants there.
Alabama Governor Acknowledges Need to Change Harsh Immigration Law | FDL News Desk

Stopping top care executives and arresting them sounds real good for business.

Even the governor realizes how stupid the new law is.

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley said on Friday he would work to revise the state’s tough new immigration law following embarrassing incidents of foreign workers being detained because they were not carrying sufficient identification.

But hey, there is that less government for you........Oh! Wait, thats right. Right wingers are really not for less government, they love the government being involved in everyone else's life.

If anyone doubts my credibility,i can send you the email i got from the governors office, and my proposal, via pdf.

And lots of jobs being vacated by illegal aliens are being filled by American workers, which is not exactly good news to cheap labor interests which have insisted that only illegal aliens would do those jobs.

Is there evidence for this claim?

They are drawing a conclusion from this article

Alabama | Immigration Law | Unemployment | Robert Bentley | The Daily Caller

That is correlation without evidence of causation. Would you like to see articles of farmers in Alabama saying they can't find Americans to work on their farms since the illegals left?
