Former New Jersey Superior Court judge, Andrew Napolitano, gives a nice explanation of executive orders. Listen closely to what Napolitano says about lead in bullets:

As the Judge said, the House has the power to tax. No matter. A tax could be labeled a fee. Knowing how the Supreme Court always comes down on the side of increasing the government’s “revenues” it is just as easy to rule something is NOT a tax as it is to rule something IS a tax (Hillarycare II).

NOTE: A tax on telephones to finance the Spanish-American War morphed into a fee. Check your telephone bill.

The EPA already imposes a tax on targeted industries in the form of fines. As far as I know not one person or corporation ever got a day in court. This one took the prize:

The EPA says “You’re fined X amount.” and that’s the end of it.

Bottom line: The UN’s Environmental Protection Agency could fine ammunition manufacturers in order to avoid a conflict with the House’s sole authority to tax.

But I digress. Let’s go back to Hussein’s gun control shenanigans:

A Grammy-winning singer-songwriter who has been frustrated so far in his efforts to buy airtime on radio stations in the Washington area to express a pro-Second Amendment message says Vice President Joe Biden already is getting the help he has demanded from the media to promote the president’s gun-limits campaign.

“Steve Vaus, creator of the longtime Buck Howdy character, had been watching all of the efforts by the president to build momentum for his idea of gun restrictions when a song came to him.

But he’s been repeatedly turned down in his requests to purchase airtime for the spot, which was condensed from the longer song version.

The Washington Examiner wrote that Biden said, “To be very blunt with you, we’re counting on all of you, the legitimate news media, to cover these discussions because the truth is that times have changed.”

He said there are those who would “misrepresent” “the White House’s plans for gun control.”

“The social media that exists out there, the tragedies that have occurred, the Supreme Court decision affirming that it’s an individual right to bear arms – all give a lie to the argument that what we’re trying to do is somehow unconstitutional, or somehow goes after the legitimate right to own and bear arms and to hunt and protect yourselves,” Biden said.

Biden turns ?Nixonian? on gun control

Don’t you just love it when the biggest pack of liars ever assembled in one administration accuse others of lying. Biden, an admitted liar, calling someone else a liar is akin to John Dillinger telling Willie Sutton to stop robbing banks.

Biden counting on the legitimate news media is right out of Cuckoo Land. The government controls the media, print and electronic. All he has to do is tell them what he wants. Even if he wanted to threaten print press he couldn’t get away with it thanks to the First Amendment; so he had to make “social media” the villain; i.e., freedom of speech is the bad actor.

Also notice that Biden does NOT cite the primary reason the Right to bear arms was put in the Bill of Rights:

“To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them." George Mason, Co-author of the Second Amendment, during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution, 1788

Judge Napolitano did not mention the FCC. In short: Hussein can have the FCC threaten to lift a few broadcast licenses if television does not corporate. The federal government uses the EPA to threaten, intimidate and fine; so it is logical to assume the FCC serves the same purpose when necessary.

Federal, non-military agencies, noted radio host Mark Levin last week, have purchased enough ammunition recently to not only shoot every American five times, but also engage in a prolonged, domestic war.

The numbers are based on recent reports that put the total federal ammunition buy in the last 10 months at approaching two billion rounds.

“To provide some perspective,” Levin noted, “experts estimate that at the peak of the Iraq war American troops were firing around 5.5 million rounds per month. At that rate, the [Department of Homeland Security] is armed now for a 24-year Iraq war. A 24-year Iraq war!”

What do federal agencies need with all that ammunition?

Feds buying enough bullets for ?24-year war?

Perhaps the answer to the question Drew Zahn asks can be found at West Point:

Another possible answer is that the government is trying to abolish the Second Amendment by making the cost of bullets so high most Americans will not be able to afford them. The government’s strategy is to stockpile billions and billions of bullets at the lower price. Now, if only they could learn to be so frugal everywhere else!
