Perez and Elison personify why Trump was elected. Trump is not popular but the Dems are totally distrusted. The swamp was not created overnight and it will be a long time draining. If Trump, for example, puts up a high speed rail system in the great plains where mountains can be avoided and urban build up is low construction costs will be low, shipping costs will drop tremendously and GDP growth will increase by at least 2% a year as far as the eye can see.

The Ds will lose more Senate seats in 2018, more or less a gimme, then repeal and replace will go through. But even creating a permanent GOP majority Trump will be dead of old age before desocialization can completely kick in.
