Why talk about 2003 in current events? Well....there is background.
In fall of 2003, the US media's coverage of the Iraq II war, was denounced by media chiefs around the world. For example, the BBC Director General accused the (right-wing) US media of "banging the drum" for war, and said it was "intolerable for credible journalism". https://www.theguardian.com/media/20...raqandthemedia

So, you can see this on Fox News now regarding ISIS and China - of course you can, it's what its viewers want to see - ratings, ratings, ratings....Right-wingers love ratings, or anything that measures their insecurity positively. So there is a love of guns, even to do girlish things like hunt turkeys.

Never mind if we can even afford to prosecute a war. Even if the Trump admin finds the money, and it attempts to tangle with China it will be facing 2.5 million regular soldiers trained to a satisfactory standard in the use of modern weapons. It would be a disaster.

Remember, even after the Bush admin. admitted there was no connection between Saddam and WMDs, about 70% of Americans continued to make that link. This is because only 3 of the nations 12 national newspapers put it on the front page, and the Wall Street Journal and New York Post didn't cover it at all.

And of course, the jewel in the warmongers Crown - Fox News: Let us remember that Fox News viewers (average age 68-9 years old! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ive-white.html)
are the least informed of any viewership in the US. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1538914.html

America is FUBAR, and that's before you even get onto Talk Radio (See, "The Brainwashing of My Dad" (2016), on Hulu).
