This is a comics-adapted fan-fic presented through the pedestrianism vigilance action-adventure storytelling lens of G.I. Joe and James Bond spy-weaved labyrinths but utilizing the American comic book superheroes Green Arrow and Green Lantern (DC Comics).

The purpose of this 'modern folk adventure' tale is to suggest that the terrorism and pedestrian espionage themes presented in politics-fantasy James Bond films such as GoldenEye signify a society fascination with 'geopolitical intrigue.'

Maybe spy films are the modern equivalent of The Illiad.

Oliver Queen (aka, 'Green Arrow') and Hal Jordan (aka, 'Green Lantern'), America's finest vigilantes, were working together to determine how to address the new modern problem of pedestrian-traffic generated terrorism. A diabolical terrorist organization called Cobra had risen to power and only Arrow and Lantern could face them. Cobra had destroyed an important American hydro-electric dam in the Amazon, citing eco-terrorism as their new base for global revolution; Cobra had also kidnapped the American president Hillary Clinton on Halloween Eve and held her for ransom (she was returned unharmed by the efforts of Arrow and Lantern!).

Cobra was planning to use the vast array of globally connected computers across the Internet to unleash a series of network-paralyzing super-viruses while coordinating a massive invasion of Washington, D.C. on the 4th of July. Arrow and Lantern had suspected such an initiative was in the works, especially after the Cobra operatives Pythona and Storm Shadow had kidnapped President Clinton on Halloween. Arrow and Lantern recruited a skillful computer science wizard from Carnegie Mellon University (named Ethan) who was working on a systems anti-viral algorithm that would freeze any network-folding set of viruses roaming simultaneously.

Oliver was a wealthy socialite in Star City and had fallen in love with a mysterious woman named Baroness Rains but soon discovered she was working for Cobra. Fortunately, the Baroness' sister, Jaye, yanked Oliver out of the sandtrap and ironically, the two had now fallen in love. Jaye joined Arrow, Lantern, and Ethan on their crusade to end the terror created by Cobra. Jaye was skillful with a silencer-rifle, Arrow was skilled with grenades and his crossbow, and Lantern was skilled with tear-gas and blinding flare-light guns; Ethan, meanwhile continued his algorithmic deconstruction of any Cobra Internet virus grouping.

Baroness had warned Cobra Commander that Arrow (Oliver Queen) seemed like a sportsmanlike warrior but was in fact a coldly efficient vigilante and had joined forces with his sister Jaye to prepare for Cobra's invasion of Washington, D.C. on the 4th of July. However, Cobra Commander assured the cunning Cobra consultant that Arrow's 'vigilante rag-tag team' would not undo any focused anti-democratic scheme, especially since Serpentor (Cobra's jet-glider soaring super-ghoul) had the lasers and wits to single-handedly take down Arrow. Baroness secretly worried for Arrow (Oliver Queen), her former lover, though she felt no pity for her sister Jaye now that she had turned against her.

On the 4th of July, Cobra's stealth-hacker Major Bludd released a string of Internet viruses, but Arrow's computer science wizard Ethan was ready with a set of anti-viral looping programs designed to create instant redundancy copies of any algorithm destabilizer signal and maintain continued signals channeling. Meanwhile, Serpentor and Baroness stormed Washington, D.C. on jet-gliders and were followed by 100 Cobra soldiers (including Storm Shadow, Pythona, and Cobra Commander). Arrow, Lantern, and Jaye were there to meet them and used tear-gas grenade rapid-fire and a special electric-power destabilizer weapon Ethan designed for them to paralyze Cobra's vehicles and render them confused while the U.S. army stormed in to corral Cobra ghouls left and right.

During the trial of Cobra (in Washington, D.C.), Baroness Rains claimed that she was seduced by Arrow (Oliver Queen) and had resolved to retaliate against America for his chauvinistic biases, but Arrow testified that he cared for her and was seeking her speedy psychological rehabilitation. Cobra Commander was found guilty of high treason and three counts of murder (for killing U.S. army-men) and was sentenced to life in prison. Lantern testified that while Serpentor seemed like an anti-establishmentarian political theorist, he was nothing more than a dangerously violent anti-Western terrorist. Arrow called his 'vigilante rag-tag team' the Do-Rights(!), and they celebrated with champagne. Arrow secretly hoped Baroness Rains would find her way to peace someday.
