Name one flu like virus that has ever been contained. Just one. Lockdowns don't work against that type of virus. That's not my opinion. That is a well recognized scientific fact.

Exactly. Epidemics have been ended for millions of years by herd immunity. But flattening the curve has never once ended any epidemic or done any good. In fact, all these locks downs do is prevent herd immunity, and therefore greatly increase the death toll by making any epidemic last essentially forever.

The virus isn't killing anyone who isn't already dying...and two, the stats are off as it has become profitable to claim non-covid deaths as covid deaths----insurance companies and the government PAY MORE $$$$$ for those listed as COVID patients or as COVID deaths....giving hospitals, doctors, medical transport, and others a motive $$$$ to list hospitalizations and deaths as Covid. This is why Covid is mostly killing those of dying of something else.....if Covid wasn't around they still would have died and the medical involved would have made less money with a different cause of death/hospitalization listed.

Not only did big pharma make hundreds of millions on test kits, but will make trillions on vaccines.
If herd immunity had been allowed to end the epidemic in March, there not only would have been no profits, but Trump would have had a much better chance of re-election.
There are lots of flu epidemics that are far more deadly and more infectious, and it is only by "flattening the curve" and prolonging the epidemic that the minor covid virus has been inflated into something frightening.

No conflict in the least.
Its been over 10 months, and likely the vaccine won't really be available for another 6 months for most people, so there is no "lightning fast development of a cure", and a vaccine is not a cure.
Compare this with accelerated herd immunity, which could have ended it in March.
There is no one who should be getting any credit for anything.
They all dropped the ball.
All doctors have to know that flattening the curve is a terrible idea.

What I was talking about was profits, not credit.
Big Pharma wants profits, and there was no way for them to make money by ending the epidemic quickly through accelerated herd immunity.
It is only by prolonging the epidemic that they could profit from testing and vaccines.
And it is only the prolonging of the epidemic that allows for a vaccine to be sold, because if we had ended it in March, a vaccine to a virus that is NOT endemic to humans so is never coming back, would be worthless.

And by the way, the reason they got a vaccine so "quickly" is that it is really borrowed from vaccines developed years ago for other coronaviruses, like SARS.
And it will likely be just as useful as a SARS vaccine, which is to say, not at all.

Here is a common discussion on herd immunity, and it has 4 common mistakes.


One is that like Fauci, she forgot inherent immunity. Like sickle cell anemia inherently giving immunity to malaria, or children seeming to have inherent immunity or at least inherent high resistance to covid-19.

Second is that like Fauci, she forgot that "flattening the curve", (like wearing masks), does not help achieve herd immunity, but prevents it. The concept at the heart of herd immunity essentially is local burn out. The virus gets too greedy, infects people too quickly, and then runs out of potential local hosts too soon, so it dies out. If you deliberately conserve potential local hosts by wearing masks, then you ensure there is always a viable host available before the virus dies out, so the virus can go on living forever. And with more time, carriers make wider contacts, so then can spread it further.

The third mistake is that herd immunity does NOT just require you do nothing and wait for natural spread. If you deliberately infect the healthy who are not likely to die, (variolation), then you reduce the death rate by a factor of 40.

The forth mistake is that acquired immunity is NOT at all dependent upon antibodies, which NEVER last more than a month with ANY pathogen. And immunity does NOT mean you do not get re-infected. All immunity means is that you easily and quickly kill off the virus so that you become asymptomatic.

This event violated the emergency restrictions on large gatherings ordered by Governor Kate Brown (D-Oregon) to slow the spread of the Wuhan CCP coronavirus. A neighbor witnessed the Sunday event and snapped some pictures from the street.

The antibodies themselves only last for less than a month, and have no memory.
So the presence of antibodies indicates immunity, but you can be immune and not have any antibodies any more, if the last time you were infected was too long ago for the antibodies to still be hanging around. So there is no way to test for immunity except by the response after infection.

It is funny how many people think immunity mean you can't get infected, while that clearly has to be impossible. The immune system can be all triggered and able to wipe out a virus, but it may not even know you were infected for days, so then clearly no immune system can absolutely prevent infection. That would require magic.

Variolation is what lead to vaccines.
As far back as the ancient Egyptians, they understood that once you have enough people with immunity, then the epidemic is killed off.
And you can speed that up to save lives, with deliberate infection.
Like cowpox to prevent smallpox.
But when it is only the elderly dying, like with covid-19, you can save lives by deliberately infecting the young. They have essentially no harm done.
If we had done that in March, there would have been some deaths, but hundreds of thousands of deaths would have been prevented.

While covid-19 does trigger an immune response in some people that ends up in death, it is not the virus that causes the death really, and with time they will figure out what immuno suppressants to use to prevent even those deaths.
And the real reason they died is because the country prevented herd immunity by "flattening the curve".
Herd immunity quickly ends epidemics by the infection being too greedy and using up all the local hosts too quickly. So if you "flatten the curve", you prevent herd immunity by conserving local hosts. That keeps the virus alive, essentially forever, and results in the largest possible death toll.
So it really was the hysterical over reaction by the medical profession, the government, and big pharma, who are responsible for almost all the deaths.
The fact some would still have died not matter what, does not mean that most were not killed by a deliberate hoax.
