Long-time readers of this blog know that I am interested in understanding how cities work as well as how to quantitatively examine scientific knowledge. Well, I was therefore treated to the informational equivalent of catnip recently when I came across a new paper in Scientific Reports entitled Characterizing scientific production and consumption in Physics, which is about scientific production at the city level.
