The problem is not that the officers took a knee.
The problem is not that the officers raised their fist in the racist gesture of 'Black Power'.
The problem is that they did so IN UNIFORM.
Military members are also prohibited from making political or otherwise gestures / protests while wearing their uniform. When in uniform the members represent the United States / US military. In the same way, police officers, at least in Chicago, can not engage in protests and controversial issues while in uniform. They can do so all they want when in civilian clothes on their own time.
