Quantum dots get some electricity and then generate light in the SMALLEST possible way known to science: one stinkin' photon. This means (as I grasp the article) that the light cannot be intercepted. So the only thing that can "see" the light is the intended recipient and there is thus no other way to crack the code.

I'm certain there are flaws in the analysis, but that's still pretty fucking cool science.

Cool, we can use this techonolgy to hopefully block the huge power of the quatum computer from breaking codes.

But i enjoy it all the same.

It's what makes life interesting...We humans love to create and explore, and that's what differs us from any other creature on this planet.

I wish we would pull all of our troops out of the Middle East and put the money into science. We would get a hell of a lot more good from it.
