Yes, the Shah was a dictator. But he did a lot for his country. He built a great infrastructure, roads, services, etc for the country, he got his people educated, built universities, etc., he supported human rights and equal rights for women and minorities, and most importantly, many Iranians did indeed get wealthy and successful under his reign. Sure there was rampant cronyism. The Iranian people were deceived by the Mullahs and they fell for it. Ask any Iranian in the US they will tell you, the Mullahs were the worst thing that happened to Iran since the invasion of the Arabs, which forced them into Islam and made them loose part of their culture and heritage as a result.

It is so sad and frustrating to see APPLE investing in Israel, while we as Arabs are not able to attract these investments to our countries! I don’t know what our leaders are doing to create proper environment for such investments!

I would prefer seeing APPLE as well as MICROSOFT having their R&D in Lebanon or any other Arab Country instead of being in ISRAEL!
