There is no net inflow of immigrants from Mexico, more are leaving than coming. The demographics of Mexico are driving this. The wall serves a non-issue, and it's estimated it would cost $35 billion and have huge environmental consequences, to say nothing of upkeep or staffing.

Building some giant wall across the southern border is all just for mentality....it's a political tool people like Trump use to say "I'll keep you safe! I'll keep them out of here! Trust me!" and very little else.

It's non-practical, ineffective, expensive, and serves no true purpose. It's all just to satisfy the lust of bigoted people out there.

Considering the skills that El Chapo Guzman's cartel has for tunneling, I don't think they would have much problem digging one out.

And..............California has had a wall for many years, and lots of tunnels have been built under it.
