Texas: ANOTHER cop shot; Like the 8th or 9th in 48 hours.

If they don't like the job risks, then they can find another career. Might have to learn some social skills, but that would be of benefit anyway.

They won't quit. They'll just stop showing up. At least in Democrat havens.

Have fun.

Time for cops to start shooting first and asking questions after the fact.
That would be constructive advice if we could be sure acting on it wouldn't soon get out of hand and ordinary individuals would routinely be shot while "reaching for his waistband" while jay-walking, etc.

And you know I'm not exaggerating. (I wish I were.)

Texas cop shot. I've lost count in the past 48 hours...

1 in Texas
3 in Chicago
1 in SC
1 in PA
1 in DC

More....just losing count.

There are like 900,000 police officers. While any police shooting is tragic, the idea that you can't count their number if it exceeds 7 is absurd.

Over 900,000.

And it's 7-10 in 48 hours.

Which makes it hard to say cops are out hunting black people to shoot when only a couple dozen questionable ones per year happen.

In this 48 hours. But not every 48 hours. The percentage of cops assaulted each year is trending downward overall. The number of cops is up. The number of deaths is down. Its probably safer to be a cop now than it has in 30 or 40 years.

Which is good news.

It is good news.

But there's a reason the number of cops dying on duty is down.

Better tactics
Better trauma care
Vests being federally funded since 1999 (all have one now vs few in the 80s)
And....much better vehicle safety....since many died in wrecks and cars now are built better and safer.

Experts estimate that the mass distribution of vests has saved over 3000 cops in the last 20 years who....pre 1990....would likely have died. I linked that remember?

The reasons we lose fewer cops now....are similar to why we lost FAR FAR fewer troops in Irag/Afghanistan than we did in Vietnam: Better equipment, training and trauma care.

Here's the problem with the 'federally funded vests since 1999' narrative: Cop deaths shot up after 1999. Even taking 911 off the table, cop deaths jumped by 20% in 2 years....and stayed higher than 1999 levels until Obama was elected. If federally funded vests reduced cop deaths then federally funded vests would have reduced cop deaths.

And with the percentage of cops being assaulted ALSO going down as cop deaths are going down.....its safer to be a cop. Any given cop is just less likely to be hurt.

The 'war on cops' narrative is horseshit.

Hey moron. The Feds began funding it in 1999. Guess what? Government is fucking slow. That money goes to agencies. They spend months fitting officers then ordering. Time taken to get them shipped and issued.

You never worked in government I see. Funding from Feds gets approved....might be 5 years before stuff actually arrives.

Remember FEMA??

Lets this think this through, Bucky. According to you, the cops didn't have vests before 1999. Then the government starts giving them vests. Slowly. So in 2000...the had everything they had in 1999, plus more vests. And yet MORE cops died. In 2001, they had everything they did in 1999 plus even more vests. Yet even MORE cops died, jumping up 20% from 1999 levels even taking out all the cops that died in 911.

In 2002....2003....2004....2005.....2006....2007...2008....they had everything they did in 1999. Plus even more vests each year.

But the death rate was STILL above 1999 levels.

If vests from the feds dropped cop deaths, there would have been a drop in cop deaths. Your argument doesn't work. Its pure, molten shit. It wasn't until Obama was elected and took office...in 2009 that cop deaths dropped below 1999 levels. And shocker, so did over all crime and violence rates.....until they reached their near 30 year lows today.

Well for one....deaths vary year to year. It's the nature of the job. And the drop since 2009....several reasons. I included many. Do you know what kind of advances we've made in trauma care for gunshots in the past 10 years??? Do you know WHY and how we did?? Lets see how educated you are on this.

Here's a hint. ....

Then what's all this panty shitting about how deaths now are the 'democrats fault'?

You can't have it both ways. Especially when cops deaths are hovering near a 30 year low, per capita cops are safer now than they've been in 30 to 40 years, and the percentage of cops being assaulted has been on a downward slide for nearly a decade.

The *attacks* are. Attacks may or not be fatal. Doesn't mean they aren't up. And every street cop in America says attacks and resisting incidents are up.

You guys own this.

Thankfully vests, trauma care and militarized tactics have given a LOT more protection and survivability to cops.

the leftist organisation fuck the police is full action these days

How so? I mean, that's the narrative you've been told to swallow. So of course you're gonna drop to your knees, open your mouth, splay that tongue across your chin and gobble down whatever thick load of pablum they spew into your gullet.

But while you're struggling to swallow and repressing that gag reflex.....does it ever occur to you to *think* about what you're gobbling? To demand evidence to prove its true? To question.....anything....you've been told to think?
