Voting for Dems and sanctuary cities, is going to get you this and much much more of it!

  • Footage from the scene shows protesters banging on the bus windows as they tried to prevent the migrants from entering the shelter in Midland Beach
  • Over 110,000 asylum seekers have arrived since the spring of 2022, with over currently 10,000 arriving every month, and about 1,000 every single day
    • There are now nearly 60,000 migrants in the city's care

Chaos erupted outside a Staten Island shelter for migrants as protesters tried to stop asylum seekers from moving in.

About 10 protesters were arrested on Tuesday outside a former Island Shores Assisted Living Facility in Midland Beach, where a crowd met migrants with chants like, 'Take them back, Take them back.'

Footage from the scene shows protesters banging on the bus windows as they tried to prevent the migrants from disembarking and entering the shelter.

Police said an officer suffered a knee injury when one of the protesters, area resident Vadim Dlyakov, resisted arrest. Dlyakov, who lives a block from the assisted living facility, was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing government administration, as reported by The New York Daily News. The rest of the arrested protesters were taken into custody and let go with disorderly conduct summonses.

Local issues, local self-defeating stupidity.

Local issues
Ridiculous. These masses of people came across that southern border or there wouldn't be an issue in NYC over immigration. Immigration has always been handled on a national basis, that is until your party decided to wreck everything Trump was trying to do. We're seeing the result of the Democrats opening our borders to all comers. The worst is yet to be seen, but it's coming.

1,000 a day for a month is, on average, 30,500 per month, not 10,000.

It's been 18 months since the Spring of 2022, at that rate, there should be 549,000 migrants arrived, not a mere 110,000.

Does getting a degree in Journalism mean you can't use a pocket calculator?

Nope. Definitely a local issue, as sanctuary city status is decided at local level, certainly not by Congress or Presidential level. Personally, I think Sanctuary cities should be seperated from the National power grid, and denied any type of Federal aide or funding of any type.

Wow.

How many electoral votes does New York have, again?

If the Dems don't dump Biden, and soon, Trump may beat Reagan's electoral landslide record.

Democrats. Period.
I have not seen a single bill forwarded in the US House of Representative or the US Senate to promote "Sanctuary Cities" where the locals no longer even cooperate with Federal Immigration or law enforcement agencies if an alien is involved.

This is why I say it is local, as that is where the decision is made, by local elected officials or local ballot initiative.

I do not believe "Sanctuary Cities" should be legal or should receive any type of federal grants, subsidies, equipment or anything else that cost one federal cent of taxes the rest of us paid.

dems say NY is a sanctuary state ... why are they complaining ?
Absolutely correct. If they have declared themselves a sanctuary city and state, they have opened their doors and have no right to complain. Screw them.
