Ted Cruz telling it like it is.
He always does... .
No. He might occassionaly but it would just be a coincidence. What Cruz always does is tell what he thinks you want to hear.

oligarchy is an opposite to democracygay marriage is a bigger threat to democracy than oligarchy.
far from realityHillary Clinton 60%

Yes, please, by all means, run Ted Cruz for president, willya?
Now, to the OP link:
“We’ve got to get back to defending our Constitutional liberties," Cruz said in a luncheon speech in Barrington, about 30 miles northeast of Manchester. "We’ve never seen a federal government come after the Bill of Rights like this administration."
Cruz coyly resisted calls from an audience eager for him to announce his candidacy, including the pleas of one supporter who opened his wallet and offered a blank check to the freshman Senator from Texas.
Instead Cruz sketched the outlines of a fledgling platform, calling for a flat tax so that every American can “fill out his or her taxes on a postcard.”
Well, at least he had one interesting idea. Not doable, but interesting.
No need for 30%....10% won't cut it, 30 to 35% gets you close however.not doable?Hillary Clinton 60%

Explain.
Simple....
assume flat tax of 10% on income.
Here is all you need...
Name: Joe Smith
Address: 1313 Mockingbird Lane
SS Number: 111-11-1111
W-2 income: 100,000
1099 income: 30,000
Total: 130,000 10% of total: 13,000
Amount Paid:...................................... 12,300
Amount Owed.................................... 700.00
Seems that can pretty much fit on a postcard, sparky.
As it is set up now, the average "well off" person pays about 18-22% in federal taxes after write offs and tax deferred write offs.
Raising that to about 25% flat tax would result in a dramatic increase in tax revenue.
