Army units killed at least 150 ISIS militants in Hasaka

"Provinces, SANA – Army stepped up operations on Saturday, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists’ ranks in personnel and equipment, with over 150 ISIS terrorists killed in Hasaka, while army units managed to assume control of several building blocks in an area in Daraa.

Daraa

Units of the Army and Armed Forces are advancing in al-Sheikh Miskeen town in the countryside of Daraa, establishing control over new points in the town that coincided with heavy firepower against the dens of terrorist organizations in the area and targeting their supply lines.

Earlier, army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established full control over several building blocks in the eastern and western districts in al-Sheikh Miskeen, a military source said.

Other army units, the source added, killed several terrorists and destroyed their hideouts and vehicles in Ibta’, Dael, Nawa, Inkhel, Busr al-Harir, Atman, Tafas and Deir al-Adas.

Hasaka

Units of the armed forces killed scores of terrorists affiliated to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization in different areas in the countryside of the northeastern province of Hasaka.

SANA reporter said more than 150 ISIS terrorists were killed and many others were injured, including terrorist groups’ leaders of foreign nationalities, during the army’s operations in al-Shadadi city.

He added that other army units razed several ISIS terrorists’ hideouts in the areas of al-Karameh, Mabtouh, Um al-Kubar and al-Seddiq, 15 to 20 km southwest of Hasaka city.

A number of terrorists’ dens were also razed in Tal Brak, 35km northeast of Hasaka.

Aleppo

Army units killed several terrorists and destroyed their vehicles in Hanano, al-Jaberiyeh, al-Kastillo, Icarda, al-Lairamoun, Hreitan and the areas surrounding al-Haideriyeh and al-Sfeira in the city and countryside of Aleppo.

On their social media pages, the terrorist organizations acknowledged the death of terrorist Abu Khattab al-Ozbaki, leader of the so-called “Ozbaki Battalion” which is affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra, on the outskirts of Nubbul and al-Zahra towns during clashes with the army yesterday.

Idleb

Army units destroyed cars that terrorists affiliated to the so-called “Islamic Front” and “Ahrar al-Sham” rigged with large amounts of explosives, also killing scores of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Idleb countryside.

A military source told SANA that an army unit inflicted heavy losses upon Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group, destroying no less than 6 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns near Ora al-Shamali village in al-Rouj plain in Idleb western countryside.

The source indicated that several Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed near Eblin village during a military operation by an army unit that has resulted in destroying several dens for the terrorist organization with the weapons and ammunition inside them.

The source indicated that units of the Army and Armed Forces carried out a military operation against terrorists from “The Islamic Front” and “Ahrar al-Sham” in the vicinity of Sarjeh village in Idleb countryside.

Several hideouts and car bombs were destroyed in the operation with scores of terrorists, some of them foreigners, getting killed, added the source.

The source added that army units killed several terrorists and destroyed their weapons in the towns and villages of Baddama, Hallouz, Tal Bakir, al-Rami and Abu al-Duhour.

Homs

Army units killed and wounded several terrorists in the area surrounding Jazal oil well in the countryside of Palmyra in Homs and in the areas of S’heirij and Salam Sharqi in the eastern countryside of the central province, in addition to killing many others who attempted to infiltrate from Aqrab into al-Da’ouneh.

IS captures oil field in central Syria
Sep 7, 2015, Activists say members of the Islamic State group have captured an oil field in central Syria.
The activists say the extremists captured the Jazal oil field late yesterday after intense clashes with government forces in the area in the central province of Homs.

Syria-based activist Bebars al-Talawy said via Skype that IS fighters first attacked army posts around the Jazal field then stormed it.

Rami Abdurrahman, who heads the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said today that all the engineers working in the field moved to the nearby government-controlled Shaer gas field.

He said government troops withdrew from the field but now overlook parts of it. IS fighters control much of Syria's oil fields that are mostly in the eastern regions bordering Iraq.

At first, waltky, singling out random news from the war in Syria is not informative.

Secondly, east Homs news are suited better here:

Third, The credibility of SOHR is a joke. It is a gas field, not an oil field. If you listen to SOHR, you listen to the propaganda of Islamist terrorists.

Fourth, what SOHR isn´t reporting is that the gas field has been recaptured by the army already.

In addition to the gas field, the town of Jazal has been retaken by the Syrian forces.
