Max, the King James bible was under attack from the Jesuits long, long ago and it is still under attack which is why there are so many new translations coming down the pike and over 40 of them seriously flawed.
I'm staying with the King James Version bible and I will continue to warn others that they should beware of the other translations out there. There is too much liberty being taken with the Word of God. I'll stay with the original. Thanks for the concern but the fact is the harvest is great and we are to be out there winning them - not creating division between one another.
Did you watch the video?
KJV is decent, however it's hard to read and understand clearly. Some words have different meanings compared with modern English. The ESV is a much better translation.
For many people, reading and understanding the KJV is like you reading and understanding:
ἀλλ’ ἡμῖν εἷς θεὸς ὁ πατήρ, ἐξ οὗ τὰ πάντα καὶ ἡμεῖς εἰς αὐτόν, καὶ εἷς κύριος Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, δι’ οὗ τὰ πάντα καὶ ἡμεῖς δι’ αὐτοῦ.
Beloved, don't be afraid to explore in truth, for God is truth, and He will set you free.
ESV: yet for us there is one God (θεὸς / Theos), the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord (κύριος / Curios), Jesus Christ (Χριστός / Christos), through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
KJV: But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
