US Envoy to UN, Suzan Rice was worried and dissatisfied with UN Security Council's report hailing Sudan and South Sudan for the agreement. The growing worry is due President Obama's plan to name Mrs Rice as National Security Advisor after failing to be secretary of State because of lacking the ABC of diplomacy.

Dissatisfied with the report, the US ambassador, in vain has sought to hold Sudan responsible and to include a condition in the Security Council's report calling on Khartoum to negotiate with the SPLM/N
According to diplomatic sources, Mrs Rice has been angry at Sudan following the failure of her plan to refer disputed issues between Sudan and South Sudan to Security Council. But against her wishes, Sudan and South Sudan have inked agreement ending the differences and necessitating disengagement between Juba and SPLM-N.

To make things worse, UN arm embargo committee's report has alluded to South Sudan's violation and harbouring of armed Darfuri movements especially Justice and Equality Movement.

Mrs Rice is excused to become nervous because she couldn't finalize her anti Sudan scenarios. Some predict that Mrs Rice will be more hostile and stricter with Sudan in her new position than before following suit the former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice during the Bush Administration. But the big difference is that the new Secretary of State, John Kerry as strict and professional personality will not give her much room room to spil foreign policies, therefore, it will be more difficult for her to antagonize Sudan.

Rice hasn't recovered yet from the state of disappointment for losing secretary of state candidature, so any other position will bring her misery and overlapping with other departments. The coming week will be full of crucial impacts on the overall situations between Sudan and South Sudan in which Rice will play the key role.
