This is not very nice of me, but watching this video I couldn't help thinking these strippers are some skanky-looking chicks. I had no idea one could look like this and still make money as a stripper.

My body image just shot through the roof.

Why do the strippers give a damn about what anyone, let alone church goers, think of them? If they're perfectly all right with what they do for a living, it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks or says.

It's always the same argument with people like that, they want people to validate what they do and say it's 'okay'. If you need that, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it to begin with. It's not your right to have other people validate or accept your behavior as okay if they don't believe that it is. Deal with it.

Secondly, I'm surprised that none of the women in here are talking about the sexist degradation these women experience in the line of work they have chosen. Do you really think any woman feels good about herself taking off her clothes to a bunch of drunk leering losers for money? Yeah, that would make me feel really good about myself. Hence why they seem to need other people's approval of what they do, cause they can't find it within themselves.

The strippers don't care what the church-goers do. It is not they who began this snotfest. The church-goers, led by some wingnut pastor, picket the strip club (which by the way is one skanky-looking place) and post the images of patrons and the license plates of their cars on the web.

The strippers just want to be left alone. And in the case of that one dark-haired woman, more drugs would also be nice (I assume).

The strippers were minding their own business, stripping merrily away and everyone was happy - except the up tight church folks, who thought that "doing God's work" was indicated in the form of picketing the strip club, i.e., trying to ruin as much of their business as possible.

So, the strippers decided to hit God's People with a little payback. I say good for them. There are few things that anger me more, than santimonious people who try to force their personal points of view on others. All too often, that is what we see Bible thumpers doing.

Hmm strippers vs. a pastor trying to shut down a legitimate business in the name of his religion and harassing clients (other reports said they follow customers back home).

Tough choice, and by tough I mean it took me less than 2 seconds to figure it out.

I'll have to go with the strippers.

Depending on the pastor, I'd agree. Being a regular churchgoer would seem like a more satisfying life than being a stripper. I just think they both have something to offer the other, and a dialogue is a great idea.

Wait since when was it impossible to be both?

Some of them might, I don't know what every single woman thinks.

Yeah, that would make me feel really good about myself.

So you think every woman in the world must think and feel the same way you do.

Hence why they seem to need other people's approval of what they do, cause they can't find it within themselves.

This seems more like revenge and to try to get the church to leave them alone.

I still can't figure out why women keep saying the strippers, prostitutes and porn stars are exploited women.

As far as I can tell, it's their customers that are being exploited.

So, that's what all of those war protestors are doing? Is that what the environmentalists are doing? Is that gay groups are doing? Forcing their sanctimonious personal points of view on everyone else because they protest? People are allowed to protest whatever they want, it's called freedom. Deal with it.

And by the way, I'm all in favor of letting the strippers protest too, as it's their right to do so, just like it's their right to expose themselves to worthless drunks every night for money. What a way to support women's lib, eh? We've come so far.

I agree with you, if a woman feels good exposing herself to a bunch of drunk guys that have no respect for her or could care less about her, more power to her. I'd say she has self esteem issues if that were the case tho. There's nothing 'warm and fuzzy' about it in the least.

It's a case of the used being used. Whatever makes them happy.
