Why do the strippers give a damn about what anyone, let alone church goers, think of them? If they're perfectly all right with what they do for a living, it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks or says.
It's always the same argument with people like that, they want people to validate what they do and say it's 'okay'. If you need that, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it to begin with. It's not your right to have other people validate or accept your behavior as okay if they don't believe that it is. Deal with it.
Secondly, I'm surprised that none of the women in here are talking about the sexist degradation these women experience in the line of work they have chosen. Do you really think any woman feels good about herself taking off her clothes to a bunch of drunk leering losers for money? Yeah, that would make me feel really good about myself. Hence why they seem to need other people's approval of what they do, cause they can't find it within themselves.
Depending on the pastor, I'd agree. Being a regular churchgoer would seem like a more satisfying life than being a stripper. I just think they both have something to offer the other, and a dialogue is a great idea.

Yeah, that would make me feel really good about myself.

The strippers were minding their own business, stripping merrily away and everyone was happy - except the up tight church folks, who thought that "doing God's work" was indicated in the form of picketing the strip club, i.e., trying to ruin as much of their business as possible.
So, the strippers decided to hit God's People with a little payback. I say good for them. There are few things that anger me more, than santimonious people who try to force their personal points of view on others. All too often, that is what we see Bible thumpers doing.

Some of them might, I don't know what every single woman thinks.
Yeah, that would make me feel really good about myself.
So you think every woman in the world must think and feel the same way you do.
Hence why they seem to need other people's approval of what they do, cause they can't find it within themselves.
This seems more like revenge and to try to get the church to leave them alone.
I still can't figure out why women keep saying the strippers, prostitutes and porn stars are exploited women.
As far as I can tell, it's their customers that are being exploited.
Must be nice to have the answer for everyone else's life questions, Newby.
