Did any of you see see the 60 Minute story on insider training in Congress. It is sad how corrupt the Legislative branch has become. Whether you are Republican or Democrat we need to create constituitional laws to reign the crooks in.

Sorry, A constitutional amendment that Congress may not pass a law and exempt themselves.

Inside trading is illegal for everyone but members of Congress who reportedly engage in it frequently.

There was a bit of a scandal back in the 80s about a congresscritter here in Oregon who got in trouble for insider trading on confidential information given to the agriculture committee.

However the man lost money at it, so the prosecution was dropped.

The fucking government constantly is breaking it's own laws and getting away with it.

And you sheep wonder why some of us don't trust the government.

Caught the story.
Combine this with K street influence and numerous ex-congressman becoming lobbyists; anyone who still believes that we have a government by the people and for the people, is dumber then a bag of hammers.
Plutocracy masquerading under the guise of a representational Democracy. Tho', it could always be worse, as in Plutocracy hidden behind the veil of fascism.......but that's eventually coming.

when did it become legal for congress to do this?

has it always been?

DON'T ASK!
Questions like this will lead to the internet being regulated(just a synonym for censored!).

they are the 1% yall are so proud to support

Seems 70% of them are Democraps.

What it looks like is Dems produce these 2400 page bills with all of these little extras in them, then they call their broker and tell them about the hidden passages in the bill and how it will effect the market and their stock broker acts accordingly. Some of the companies that are helped by these massive bills give people like Nancy Pelosi Initial Public Offerings that nobody else can get. They gave her these IPOs priced at a low starting price then make hundreds of thousands of dollars in one day.

Makes all of this Wall Street crap look kind of funny in perspective.

Oh come on. Enough of the partisan hackery. Both parties leverage this to their benefit and the hypocricy is not better on either side.

like that would ever happen . The very people who are doing this is the people who would have to put a stop to it. Never happen .. Unless we elect people who will put a stop to it.

Folks, the MASTERS aren't even trying to pretend that the system is fair, any more.

This outrage is a damned good example of their arrogance

thank you for answering. fair enough. but i don't think you need constitutional amendments for these things. perhaps if they got run out of office for it like they do for flashing their genitals at someone??

the voters are at fault for having warped priorities.
