Age of marriage in the United States - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Well....the first domino fell. States cant define marriage. And....like homo marriage....1 state cant have a definition thats different from the other 49.

In liberal Massachusetts a 12 year old can consent to marry if parents agree. TWELVE! In most others...its 16-18.

Now??? Well....how can oppressed 12 year olds in nearby New York get their marriage rights?

In fact...how can a state define age? Says who? The state? What if a billionaire wants to marry his neighbors 8 year old...and her parents agree to it because she'll be set for life??? What right does a state have to define any of it?

Fags tipped the 1st domino. Not the last one.

Surely you can tie this into the extinction of dinosaurs also...

Well...I see the libs are already being hypocritical.

They didnt want states to lose the ability to define ALL of marriage....just the gay part.

Well....you tipped the dominoe.

How can states define age of marital consent....if they cant define marriage??

Libs will respond with nonsense. Watch....

Surely you can research USCA....or any state annotated legal research technique...

marriage is a legal contract

you must be old enough to understand what's going on to join into a contract or it's void and not legal

that's why, no kids, no animals, no corpses no saxophones.

Just saw....Mississippi HAS NO MINIMUM age.

Just need:

Parental consent
Judicial consent....which states just lost the ability to do.

So...in Mississippi a 5 year old can marry a 49 year old...if parents consent.

All 49 states may have to adopt this. Because....states cant define marriage.

Go to court. Tell them you want the age of consent to be 12. Let's see what happens.

Makes fun of Missouri's being 15. 12?!

Wrong. If parents consent...a child can marry.

Age of parental consent making it ok....

Massachusetts its 12
New Hampshire its 14
Mississippi its 0. Thats right...theres no minimum age so long as parents are ok with it.

Thats law.

States cannot define marriage.

Not the way you're whining about. But come on, go to court, see what happens.

"Marriage by Those Under the Age of Consent

Most states allow minors as young as 16 to get married with parental consent, although Massachusetts allows females as young as 12 to get married with parental and judicial consent (14 for males). There is no marriage age limit in California as long as the parties obtain parental and judicial consent. Some states, meanwhile, don't allow marriage for any reason under a certain age.

For the court to grant a marriage license to a couple below the age limit for parental consent, there must be a compelling reason why it would be in their best interests. Typically, courts will grant marriage licenses to young couples either with a child or expecting a baby."

So, for the court to authorize such a marriage, presumedly the 12yo girl has been stat raped and made pregnant. So ya ok, you can get married, but your husband's spending the honeymoon in prison. :) Unless I guess, the would-be husband isn't also the rapist.

So can states define terms of a marriage contract? Yes or no?

If states CAN define marriage contracts...then it can...wait...no it cant.

States cannot define marriage. So how can it mandate terms of a marriage contract? It cant.

That was all good BEFORE last week.

But now....states cannot define marriage. Marriage does not require sex. So sexual consent laws dont apply.

States cannot define marriage. Homos tipped this domino.

that's kinda fucked

seems that anyone, for any reason can enter into a contract and it will be binding, no matter what.

Bucs90's OP is so full of fallacies that I have sent it to a logic professor at Mississippi State for fun.
