What a sad bit of news in Hollywood.

I really was rooting for this guy.

An unknown before this role, but man did it resonate.

He would have probably moved on to being quite the action star in his own right.

    Andy Whitfield will be missed.

At first i thought Marc was talking about the movie 300.
But after clicking on the link, he actually played Spartacus himself in the STARZ channel's series.

I never watched it but 39 is a tragic age to die.

    :(

    He played Spartacus dude.

    Did you watch it?

They basically changed their entire plans for season two by doing a prequel to season 1. They found out about his cancer before season two began filming.

So I've known since the end of season one, just was hoping he'd pull through.

    I'm actually saddened.

Season 3 is about to begin with a new actor taking the role, I'll still watch, but this new guy ain't no Andy.

You have the ten year legacy of 343 of NY's finest killed in the line of duty on 9/11 and ....an actor who dies of cancer is your hero?
