Society pays a high price for unwanted pregnancies!

Human life has immeasurable worth and value. The worth of a soul is great in the sight of God. So much so that He gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice to redeem our souls. And He would have done so even if only one person would have accepted that Atonement.

If God thought we were worth enough to sacrifice His Son for our lives, shouldn't the lives of others and especially of our children be worth even more than it currently is?

We can fight to end abortion. And Im not talking about outlawing it. Im talking about working hard to make it so that no one wants an abortion. That all children are welcome and accepted. Fighting just to outlaw it is not the proper path.

I agree with you. However one problem is that Christians oppose abortion and wish to cut social services to the poor because they don't want to pay higher taxes. So the children are precious until they are born, then they are someone else's problem.

The is particularly true of the Republican party which is supported by the Christian right, one primary issue being abortion. The party signs pledges to not raise taxes, and advocates drastic cuts in social services. IMO, the American Christian right wants to serve God on its own terms. It is more interested in protecting its view of the American way of life than actually reaching out with God's love.

Here's a novel idea.... don't get pregnant, then you don't need an abortion.

Sorry but unlike you, we get laid. It feels too good to stop. Not having sex is not an option. And sometimes accidents happen. If they do, we have the right to abort. No one is going to force a woman who doesn't want to give birth to carry a baby for 9 months. Only a right wing extremist is ok with that. Even Reagan and Nixon were ok with abortion. How did you right wing loons take over the GOP party?

Lets face it, life isn't that precious. If it is to you, don't have an abortion. But we want to have the option. Doesn't matter what you think. You are in the minority.

The only reason the GOP caters to you is because they can't win elections with the top 1% alone. So they come up with wedge issues like abortion to con voters like you into voting against your own financial interests.

It's almost never an accident, just shear irresponsibility for one's actions.

Lets face it, life isn't that precious

Then go throw yourself off the tallest building already and rid the rest of us of your utter stupidity.

....And, for Republican-style "science".......

Abortion must be kept legal - we already pay a huge price for unwanted pregnancies... and that is with abortion legal. Can you imagine how high a price society would pay if abortion was made illegal?

The number of abortions would remain unchanged if Roe v. Wade were overturned.

"Society pays a high price for unwanted pregnancies!"? Not nearly as high a price as the unborn pay for the politics of the pro-abortion crowd.
