Spain’s new socialist government has reversed a positive economy in just three months
Spain’s less than 100-day-old new socialist government has not only stopped enforcing its previous low immigration quota approach, it is now enthusiastically asking for Europe’s rejected migrants to be sent there, as we saw with the Aquarius ship fracas.

The result is as predictable as kindergarten mathematics: a depressed GDP and higher unemployment. Spain’s predicted GDP growth rate fell from 3% to 2.7% in just three short months – and over summer, which is when Spain’s main economic driver is at full throttle.
Additionally, employment during August saw a loss of 203,000 jobs and a rise in unemployment of 47,047 – the first rise during the month of August since 2011. To top it all, Pedro Sánchez’s government is considering the biggest tax hike in Spain since Franco died and the country regained its democracy.
