Socialism as a Cure for Unemployment

Cool, but you still aren't going to get people to leave their mom's basement and put down the game controller to work if they are feeling sad that day.

Maybe if the alternative was a firing squad...

Interesting article I came across that explains how socialism could cure our nation's unemployment problems.

"It is to be observed that unemployment has never, within the capitalist economy, resulted from the full and complete satisfaction of all the felt wants of the members of society"

"The complete abolition of unemployment is only possible in an industrial economy fundamentally different from capitalism"

"There can be no escape from the evils of unemployment until we cease producing for profit and organize our production with the single purpose of supplying the felt needs of all the members of society."

Treating unemployment with Socialism is like treating dandruff with decapitation
Treating Unemployment with Socialism is like the Dollar bill on a String prank! Some people will follow it all the way down the street around the corner and into the garbage filled alley before they realize how stupid they are! Jeffery Epstein did not Hang himself either! :laughing0301:

That's from 1915.

Got anything a bit more current?

The Communist/ Socialist story doesn't change what they believed and Espoused in 1915 are still the same today don't be disingenuous.

Interesting article...yes indeed.

“A socialist administration would naturally take up the task of dealing with the unfit...the sick, the maimed and the morally defective, including the tramps the lazy, the inebriate, the shiftless and dissolute... For dealing with the morally defective, groups named labor colonies appear to offer the only satisfactory method. The penal characteristics of these colonies could easily be varied to suit the need of the different classes of moral defectives sent to them.
The other groups of the unemployable must be differently dealt with, of course...
that the modern state, as a military necessity, must resort to the mobilization of labor no less than to the mobilization of armies and navies. We have yet to learn that the mobilization of labor in times of peace
is an economic necessity of the highest...”
The OP is what happens when you choose to remain ignorant of even basic history.
