Yes we are and as with other social movements (feminism, gay rights) they only grow more extreme with time. The Socialists have distributed very deep roots in the academic community. This will only end in an ultimate revolution, as is their goal. I think their goal is to have this revolution be performed as peacefully as possible. However, their ideas and goals are quite counter to a hardened core of Americans. These are going to be some very interesting decades in front of us.
