We keep hearing posters on the left implying that nothing big happened, of course that's contradicted by the meltdown of some and the proliferation of threads about Palin and FOX causing the tsunami.

Well there has been some dramatic changes, though I doubt they were what Obama & Co were seeking:

Just look around here a bit, some will be inconsolable once they figure out what change really means.

It boils down to re-districting which leads to gerry-mandering. That can help manage control of the House or Senate. Could be a big deal or not, depends which party figures out how to improve the economy. Looking at the 1990's, the GOP cost-cutting congress with the Clinton tax rates seemed to be a great mix. WTF is wrong with the DC whores for not getting this simple fact??

What was won Tuesday was a chance for the Republican Party to redeem some of the mistakes that they made from 2001 to present. A chance that they will discard with glee, and continue playing the very partisan politics of the last ten years.

Unfortunately, your gerrymandering point is spot on. You have fresh, eager new GOP majorities in many States ready to feel their oats but unlike 2001-2002, a Dem DOJ. Perry will tie their hands to some extent, but if you thought 2002-2006 were bad.....get ready for a roller coaster.

Too bad the US, unlike most of the rest of the developed world, has embraced packing and cracking as a time honored tradition and an art form to be proud of. How Tenthers think these imbeciles in the state legislatures are better suited to deliver true representative democracy when many of them are dead set against allowing it at the Federal level is beyond me.
