I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick of this shit.
We all are. So try getting Cracker Nation to stop with the nonsense, of trying to make it seem like the Democrats of today are somehow tied to supporting slavery, which is just that - nonsense.

The Republicans who joined the Abolitionists were Liberals. Liberal Republicans hung around until Reagan chased them out demonizing 'Liberals'

Slavery's Scar on the United States

The Democratic party of the South was White Conservative Christians.

Liberals hating Southerners is nothing new.
Left wingers need to stop living in the past because the Civil War is over and Slavery is over.
Libs hating Southerners is like someone who still hates today's Japanese or the Germans because of WWll...... Left Wingers are crazy axxholes

So your family wasn't even here during the American revolt?

ok

mine was

I am a daughter of Daniel Boone. I am. Whats your point
direct line? I doubt it. probably through cousins LOL

nothing to be proud of as those Good Ole Kentuckians were backing the revolt, in order to open up land for grabs. That is a fact. Many Southerners favored war with GB because of treaties that kept the frontier (Kentucky) out of bounds, off limits

Correct: Those Damn Southern White Conservative Christians!!!

After WWll the Democrats started growing their left wing hate.
You can see it in the movies and TV shows.
Culturally the Left is anti-wasp, anti-mainstream, anti-american, anti-rural, anti-suburbia, anti-midwest....
Almost all portrayals of Southerners are extremely negative.
Liberals use entertainment to spread and reinforce their hate.

So your family wasn't even here during the American revolt?

I am a daughter of Daniel Boone. I am. Whats [sic] your point

Apparently, his point is to claim that one is fully culpable for the acts of one's distant ancestors, as if one committed those acts directly. In fact, to claim that any white American whose ancestors were here before slavery was abolished, is guilty of having owned slaves, even though slavery was abolished long before anyone now alive was even born.

LIbEralism truly is a mental disease.

Denying the plain, obvious truth, will not make it go away. To whatever degree any party or political ideology is tied to slavery and racism in the United States, it always has been, and still is, the Democrats/LIbErals; and surely will always be. No sane person believes your side's absurd efforts to cast the blame for your own faults on your opposition that always has, and always will, stand against it.

The Democratic party of the South was White Conservative Christians. The nonsense, where people keep making it seem like the Democrats of today are somehow tied to supporting slavery, is just that - nonsense.

Yes, they definitely are tied to supporting slavery - it's their history, after all, they better know it, and learn the lessons this history teaches, anew with each generation that enters the world of politics.

Then, of course, we have the Party of Lincoln, devolving into the party of the Southern Strategy, and subservience to the plutocracy, a hollow, mean-spirited shell of its former self. It is by no means guaranteed that a formerly reached status can be preserved in the face of a morally and intellectually bankrupt party leadership - which should be another warning for Democrats.

Other than that, you are right, of course. And yet, the sad spectacle of a Republican party degenerating into something Lincoln would have beholden with utter disgust, isn't even half the story. At the very least, a proper diagnosis should include a media landscape and an outdated political system that render something as dysfunctional as the GOP viable, and also vast swathes of a near hopelessly brainwashed population that would even cheer on and support the moral demise of the G.O.P. to protect their unearned privileges.

So try getting Cracker Nation to stop with the nonsense, of trying to make it seem like the Democrats of today are somehow tied to supporting slavery, which is just that - nonsense.

I do not know of this “Cracker Nation” that you keep referencing. I've never heard of it at all outside of your repeated references to it in this very thread. Whatever it is, I certainly do not claim any authority to dictate to it what opinions it may express.

Whatever this “Cracker Nation” is, if it is saying that modern Democrats/LIbErals are tied to supporting slavery and racism, then it is absolutely correct in so saying; and you are wrong in your denial of this obvious truth.

Slavery ended in 1865. Things change. There must be a reason that the Blacks of today vote overwhelmingly democratic, and they have since about the time of the passage of civil rights laws of the mid 1960's. Either they're too stupid to know better, which is the right wing version, or they weighed their options and decided that the democrats, for all their many faults, might serve Black folks' interests better than do the republicans.

So Democrats today are tied to supporting slavery? Nonsense. The Democrats that fought to keep slavery were Southern White Conservative Christians. The Democratic party today which includes ma majority of black voters is tied to supporting slavery? Ok you're out to lunch

They've been brainwashed through the media and public education. It was easy because the racist Democrats gave them an excuse for failure. And of course the welfare checks helped too.
