Clearly people are missing the message. It's like the strategists in the GOP are all ostriches with their heads in the sand. saying "lalalalalala....I can't hear you...lalalalala..."

Understanding the Factions of the Electorate: the Glue that Binds Them

The GOP's big plan is to do a smear campaign on Trump. And they think THIS and not a candidate capable of assimilating Trump's flock is "the answer!". It isn't. It's a crazy stupid blunder. The aftermath will be like herding cats if Trump pulls out.

Which ain't likely to happen. But if he did after the GOP attacks him, his followers won't thank them for that..

No, this situation is a little trickier. It's like Trump has the GOP caught in quicksand. The more they struggle against him, the more popular he becomes...because he FIGHTS BACK and fights back hard. This is why his followers love him. When caught in quicksand, it's much better to sit still, take stock and holler for help. Christie could've thrown the party a rope and tugged them out. He is Trump's identical twin, who is sane. But the establishment funders just starved him out. Every chance the GOP's media mouthpieces brought up his name, it was with a snide or dismissive tone. Viewers/voters picked up on that cue. And as a result, Christie got knocked down.

The GOP showed him the door. And now all they have left is to sit still and slowly sink..

Wise may say: "you don't attack people you want to vote for you...you win them over".

They think they took him down in Iowa and will take him down in S.C. I agree, it's gonna backfire.
