Skeptics are winning: “The carbon market is dead” « JoNova: Science, carbon, climate and tax

The collapse of the Man-Made Myth continues apace. You may not read headlines as such (at least not in major dailies) but all the signs are there.

People who we never would have imagined speaking against the Big Scare Campaign are now doing so. Key glaciers are not melting and corals are happy. Governments won’t tell you it’s over, but they are behaving that way (the Australian one excepted, due to an election fluke that gave the Greens the balance of power). The Catholic Herald headlined it: Is the ‘anthropogenic global warming’ consensus on the point of collapse?

And at the same time they are freezing their asses off with temps not seen in 100 years. Bulgaria I think
has recorded such. While some idiot "climate gal on the local news chirps on about how warm our winter has been = global warming"

You know the saddest part of all of this are the morons who bought in lock stock and barrel and enabled their own governments to tax the ever loving you know what out of them "for the planet".

This has been the biggest scheme to defraud the public of wealth in my lifetime at least. And even confronted with the truth, that their own arch enemy Ken Enron came up with the idea of carbon credits, they spurned reality and listened to the prophet "Gore".

Whomever released the first round of the climate gate emails is to be rewarded in the hereafter with wings for surely this person is an angel.

And you ignorant dingleberries are still full of shit. The East Coast had huge snow storms all of last winter, yet the summer was hot and wet. Except for Texas and vicinity, where it was very hot and very dry.

One of the primary predictions of global warming is "Weather swings that are wider and wilder, with an overall warming trend". And that is exactly what we are seeing. Last year, a very strong La Nina, yet the year was between the 11th and 9th warmest on record. This year, with two La Nina's back to back, January was only -0.09. That is still above most of the points on Dr. Roy Spencer's graph prior to 1998.

UAH Global Temperature Update for January 2012: -0.09 deg. C « Roy Spencer, Ph. D.

It looks to me more like the failure of an investment instrument rather than "The collapse of the Man-Made Myth".

Actually I see it as both. Those alarmists that are making money hand over fist on this and refusing to clean up thier own acts are being shown for what frauds they really are.

I have never liked the concept of carbon credits.

It smacks of selling indulgences and it is a system DESIGNED to be corrupted, too.

In theiry it is a system designed to allow market forces to reduce our carbon footprint.

But in practice it would become a system wherein Insiders could buy and sell INDULGENCES.

This idea is, I think, a Democratic idea, isn't it?

Doesn't matter really whose idea it is, the idea is badly flawed in my opinion,
