Should Wall Street Pay for Defense Spending?

The US taxpayers fund an inordinate amount of the world's defense spending. Suppose we imposed a transaction tax on Wall Street to cover ALL defense spending, such that the entitlements would be more even with the EU? Wall Street's take on defense spending would make the lobbyists priorities slightly more rational.
