SF Shakes!!!!

mr. boe and I are big fans of the San Francisco Shakespeare festival. Today at 7pm and tomorrow at 4pm (PDT), they have a free performance of "King Lear"

A theatre group in SF actually runs Shakespeare's plays straight up? That alone is newsworthy. No half black half Cambodian lesbian transsexual with one leg playing Lear while dressed up like David Bowie reading from Harry Hay's speeches glorifying pedophiles or something???

Well, they are faithful to the language, but they do mix up genders etc. It's a very inclusive approach. They also do wonderful camps and education sessions to teach kids Shakespeare. His beautiful language is something we can all share.
