Uber self-driving vehicle strikes, kills woman walking outside crosswalk in Arizona

It's very likely this dead woman is at fault, still self-driving cars will be tarnished. She was walking where she shouldn't have been walking, and she wasn't watching out for traffic. Give her a Darwin nomination. Still, the question, would a competent human driver have avoided the woman in the same situation?

Whatever the the car could have done to prevent this fatality, those instructions will be in the next software upgrade. But, stupid people can't be fixed.
