One of the painfully revealing episodes in Barack Obama's book "Dreams From My Father" describes his early experience listening to a sermon by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Among the things said in that sermon was that "white folks' greed runs a world in need." Obama was literally moved to tears by that sermon.

Seductive Beliefs, Part II

Palestine is a myth.. what was once "Palestine" was created after WW I and now is made up mostly of Jordan. The mythical Palestinians were a mixture of Arabs, Bedouins, Christians, Druze, and Jews.

The demand for a "Palestine" is so the Muslims can demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem.

Which is why Obama's statements on Israel are so deeply disturbing.

You know, at first blush it is hard to believe an American president would allow his personal feelings to dictate foreign policy. You do what is right and best for your country first and foremost. Maybe there's an alternative explanation for the way Obama has dealt with Israel and Britain, but it sure looks like outright disdain at this point.

There's a book out called "The Roots of Obama's Rage, by Dinesh D'Souza, where he discusses the reasons behind Obama's world view. Because his grandfather was killed during an uprising against the British and his own father's virulent hatred for the British and colonialism of any kind, The book purports that Obama is still fighting his father's and grandfather's war in the only way he can. Whether any of it is true or not, is up to each of us to decide. But I gotta say his actions speak louder than his words, and the way he has treated both the Brits and the Israelis is troubling.

It's all part of the same thing. Sowell nails it:

Whether as a radical student, a community organizer or a far left politician, Barack Obama's ideology has been based on a vision of the Haves versus the Have Nots. However complex the ramifications of this ideology, and however clever the means by which Obama has camouflaged it, that is what it has amounted to.

No wonder he was moved to tears when the Reverend Jeremiah Wright summarized that ideology in a thundering phrase-- "white folks' greed runs a world in need."

Israel is one of the Haves. Its neighbors remain among the Have Nots, despite their oil. No wonder that Barack Obama has bent over backward, in addition to bowing low forward, to support the side that his ideology favors.

Whether at home or abroad, Obama's ideology is an ideology of envy, resentment and payback.
