When politicians, propagandists and public figures call for the overthrow of our established, lawful and constitutional government...when they incite and pay people to riot and break the law..when they tell and publicize lies meant to turn the people against legally elected officials and to nix the result of lawful elections..

sorry boys and girls, that's sedition. It's treason, and you will go to jail for it. For a very long time. I think that's what these so-called LEADERS who are calling for bombings, who are telling people to *resist*, who are donning backpacks and balaclavas and traveling to various and assorted destinations specifically to provoke violence and unrest, don't understand. When you tell people to do that shit, when you lie to them in order to get them engaged...

that's not protest. That's treason. And you can be executed for it.

"If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both."

Sedition is what the feds tried to pin on the Bundys..the problem was that they were lying. The seditionists were the feds, who told lies and planted evidence in order to encourage an uprising against the government, so that they could then take decisive action. THAT is sedition. Staging a PEACEFUL protest and asking redress is NOT sedition.

"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."

"Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."

A few very public trials of the rioters who would receive lengthy federal sentences for sedition might actually tone down some of the violence.

While I totally agree with your assessment that what is going on is sedition, I think it's a very dangerous game to play within the realm of protests.

We need to go after the leaders. Catch and jail these violent anarchists and other foreign entities and I believe that our sheepy liberals will go back to peaceful protest.

As much as Obama and Hillary wanted to talk about Russian interference, the people are blatantly ignoring the hostile forces that are infiltrating these protests and turning them violent. (And yes, I do agree that /some/ of the American protestors are violent, they too need to be captured and put to trial for those acts.)

I guarantee, if we're noticing it, Trump and his team are on it.

Well the leaders yes.

But the protesters are violent...it is a crime to destroy property, set fires, shut down travel, and attack people. So these are not protests, but literal uprisings, and riots. There's a difference.

A peaceful protest is peaceful. And while it's legal to protest policy..it is not legal to tell lies crafted to inflame and incite, or to actively seek the OVERTHROW of the government. That's illegal. It's not the same as "protesting" that somebody in politics is not behaving in a constitutional or lawful manner. It's not the same as *protesting* a law that is discriminatory. Those are protests about incidents, laws, people who are VIOLATING the constitution.

But protests against the constitution itself, and our government, and our elections..THAT is not protest. That is treason. Revolution.

I guarantee many of those people are criminals and mentally ill people with rap sheets. They also need to be imprisoned.

I hope the gov does something, and I hope that our young sheep start paying attention to what is being said around them, and what they are (I hope unknowledgeably) supporting through their participation.

They need to come forward and assist the police to remove these violent people from their own protests.

And these asshats...omg what douches.

YOU ARE FEDERAL EMPLOYEES. You don't dictate the terms of your employment, you pigs.

And the terms of your employment dictates that you not spread subversive, seditious garbage using federal equipment, or as a spokesperson for any federal agency. You don't get to do it! It's in the employee manual! They send out emails regularly telling their employees they can't use their positions to lend credence to political bs!

Federal workers turn to encryption to thwart Trump

"
Federal employees worried that President Donald Trump will gut their agencies are creating new email addresses, signing up for encrypted messaging apps and looking for other, protected ways to push back against the new administration’s agenda.

Whether inside the Environmental Protection Agency, within the Foreign Service, on the edges of the Labor Department or beyond, employees are using new technology as well as more old-fashioned approaches — such as private face-to-face meetings — to organize letters, talk strategy, or contact media outlets and other groups to express their dissent."

I knew the minute Trump took office and shut down their fucking twitter accounts that there were going to be trolls shitting themselves nationwide, and so they are.

My favorite part of that article:

"Asked how EPA employees are feeling, Ruch said, “In the broadest sense, scared and depressed.”

Good now they get a taste of what we've been going through since their stupid and unconstitutional agency was created.

18 U.S. Code Chapter 115 - TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES

Not sure...

but here:

Schenck v. U.S. (1919). Congress passed laws during World War I against distributing material that would interfere with the war effort. Charles Schenck, general secretary of the American Socialist Party, was convicted under this law for distributing leaflets urging draft-age men not "submit to intimidation" but to "petition for repeal" of the draft law.

New York Times v. Sullivan (1964). During the civil rights era, the New York Times printed an ad asking for donations to help peaceful protesters at Alabama State College. L.B. Sullivan, police commissioner of Montgomery, sued the Times for libel saying that the ad had false material that damaged his reputation.

New York Times Co. v. U.S. (1971). During the Vietnam War, the New York Times received a top-secret Defense Department 7,000-page history of U.S. involvement in Vietnam. It started publishing excerpts, and the government sued to have the newspaper stop publishing the excerpts.

Yates v. U.S. (1957). In 1939 with World War II looming, Congress passed the Smith Act, which made it a crime to advocate overthrowing the government by violence. In the 1950s, 14 leaders of the American Communist Party were convicted under the Smith Act.
