According to reports, wildlife is acting very strange and has abandoned So Oregon. Is this a portent of some pending activity?

There are four shield volcanoes in that region. Mt St Helen's, MT Rainier, Mt Hood and Mt Mazama among several others. Any one could cause havoc in the northern hemisphere.

The Continental U.S. Top 10 Volcanoes:

1. Mount St. Helens, Washington State
2. Mount Mazama - Crater Lake, Oregon
3. Yellowstone Caldera, Wyoming
4. Mount Rainier - Washington State
5. Mount Lassen, California
6. Mount Shasta, California
7. Pikes Peak, Colorado
8. Craters of the Moon - Idaho
9. Devils Tower - Wyoming (volcano core)
10. Mount Hood - Oregon
11. Haystack Rock - Cannon Beach ( technically a lava flow formation )

Given today's earthquake picture, there is increasing stress on the North American Craton edge. Its been a while since we had a major relief of stress on the major faults. The Tri-Radiate that centers on Yellowstone has a heavy amount of stress on it and ends in Oregon/Washington at those same shield volcanoes and on the other leg in Long Valley California.

Going to have to ask some folks at YVO what they are seeing.

Now that is laughable. None of those you listed are shield volcanoes. They are all stratovolcanoes. The only shield volcano is Newberry.
