I am posting this dishonest and misleading article to see if warmists, especially Skeptics can spot the gaping holes in it, from CNN.

Sea levels may rise much faster than previously predicted, swamping coastal cities such as Shanghai, study finds

    Tue May 21, 2019

    By Sareena Dayaram, CNN

    Excerpt:

"Global sea levels could rise more than two meters (6.6 feet) by the end of this century if emissions continue unchecked, swamping major cities such as New York and Shanghai and displacing up to 187 million people, a new study warns.

The study, which was released Monday, says sea levels may rise much faster than previously estimated due to the accelerating melting of ice sheets in both Greenland and Antarctica.

The international researchers predict that in the worst case scenario under which global temperatures increase by 5 degrees Celsius (9 degrees Fahrenheit) by 2100, sea levels could rise by more than two meters (6.6 feet) in the same period -- double the upper limit outlined by the UN climate science panel's last major report.

Such a situation would be "catastrophic," the authors of the study warn."

When the rich lolneral Jooz start liquidating their pricey South Beach property for pennies on the dollar, I'll start worrying about it.

"Sea levels may rise much faster than previously predicted"

But then again, they may not.

There is that may again.... If the science is settled as we are told, "the sea levels WILL rise" but the global warming zelots just cant commit to such a claim...They are always wrong, when God does something like a blizzard in May when the world is "supposed" to be hotter than hell..

He he, you misunderstood my post as did three others. I actually stated these, I made clearly:

"I am posting this dishonest and misleading article to see if warmists, especially Skeptics can spot the gaping holes in it, from CNN."

    and,

"This is what passes for no science skill Media these days, they gush over a paper they couldn't have read, as it is terrible!"

    and my reply to arnoldjim:

"That's a start, but there are claims made that are far worse, it is in the numbers..... hint... hint. "

The paper is junk, but can anyone actually point it out WHY it is garbage?

You know, Tommy, this is just more of the same panic-horseshit peddled by the Left as they do perennially always trying to convince women we are out to take all rights to their bodoes or intend to push old people off a cliff taking their healthcare away. Same crap as the panic and doom spelled by the Left in investigating Trump because it is a "constitutional crisis," Now the sea is out to rise up over our heads. You know what? Anyone who builds themselves in a position where a sea level rise of a few centimeters floods them out DESERVES to be flooded out. That isn't cruel or insensitive, that is how nature works, weeding out the abysmally stupid, unprepared or adaptive so that the stronger and smarter survive.

A sea level rise of six feet? Baloney. I guess we better start building big storage containers on land to store all the excess ocean. :spinner:
ITMT, what the hell was anyone ever thinking building ANYTHING of importance within 6 feet of sea level??!!!
