SCOTUS rules in favor of gerrymandering. Gorsuch is the worst thing to happen

The dems are trying to play catch up to Tom Delay's redistricting of Texas that made it red and blue.

Let's see how hard both parties try in TX this fall.

Which was payback for 60+ years of Democrats doing it in Texas.

None of this stuff is going to stop until there is a bright-line rule, or the districts are drawn by computers.

I like mine.

Democrats would bitch, moan, and wail if those were the lines. That would completely destroy the democrat party in Texas for decades.

That's the problem. The bullshit STARTED with democrats trying kill the opposition. The above map demonstrates what advantages the democrats had for 60 years.

Oh, shut up, if you don't understand that gerrymandering started more than two hundred years ago.

Congressional districts should have 4 corners and 4 straight sides unless land forms interfere.

While Gerrymandering is disdainful that idea is absurd
Why?

Because, as mentioned before, cities, counties, towns etc aren’t square or rectangular
so why do you think they'd have to be for this to work? Do current district follow city limits and shit? No, they don't.

Case closed.

Are you denying that prior to 2000, democrats gerrymandered the fuck out of Texas for decades?
Who is denying that? Who is denying Tom Delay got away with doing the same thing.

The fact is that districting is a legislative duty, under the supervision of the courts if it interferes with ballot and voting principles.

So what , make everything square as possible we are sick of this..
Amen.

It's ridiculous for either side to do. It's nothing more than striving to deprive part of the population of fair representation.

SCOTUS has ruled in favor of Texas's congressional districting map. How the fuck can any rational person, whether they are a judge or not, think this is the legitimate and doesn't discriminate?

Supreme court largely backs Texas Republicans over electoral maps

If you bothered to read your link, the districts were drawn by the courts, not the TX legislature.

.

He doesn't. He's dumber than a gnat.
The gnats don't understand that the courts redrew the districts when the GOP messed up.

This darn mess will end up in front of SCOTUS within two years again.

“SCOTUS rules in favor of gerrymandering. Gorsuch is the worst thing to happen”

Actually, Trump is the worst thing to happen, absent Trump there’d be no Gorsuch.

Otherwise, it’s naïve to expect this conservative court to rule in a manner beneficial to Democrats.

no point in stealing the seat if you don't put in a hack, is there?

Nikki is a hack?

which scotus justice goes by nikki?

No you're trying to say republicans steal seats, hell you have the homo Graham in there..

no, i'm saying they stole a scotus seat.

i don't expect much intelligence from a trumpling, and you're just what i expected.
You cannot have something that was not yours stolen from you. By the same token, you cannot steal something that is not yours.

A Supreme Court seat does not belong to either party.

It is naive to expect any court to benefit any party.

Democrats invented Gerrymandering. N.C. congressional district #12 created by democrats is acknowledged to be the most notorious gerrymandered district in the U.S. It's almost a political joke. The only time lefties complain about gerrymandering is when they are out of power.

Yup. Both parties have been doing in since forever.

The only time anyone bitches about it is when they aren't the ones doing the Gerrymandering.

Its funny is what it is.
