ost of us, enslaved by power outlets, can’t leave home without a charger or an extra battery pack in tow. The only way to break this cycle of dependency is to figure out how to generate power ourselves, but barring inventions like dorky “smart” power-generating shoes, we haven’t made much progress in that field.

What mentality does it take for people to dream this shit up , not to mention even think of it.
Crazy scientist seems more logical everyday.

This doesn't seem all that strange. They are looking for a new way to power medical devices.

Riiiiiight, your safe box helps see it that way. Try thinking outside of the box... oh wait let me do that for you..

" where will they get this blood, whose blood, how ethical is it, it is a BIOHAZARD" what happens when it leaks or spills into areas that could effect the health of the public.....................

and of course there are more issues, but not wasting my time.

What are you talking about? The blood would be in the body of the person using the device. If someone has a pacemaker, rather than just relying on a battery, which might run out and need to be replaced, requiring more surgery, the pacemaker would have these fibers coming off of it to use the body's blood flow to generate the power for the device. How would it "leaks of spills into areas that could effect the health of the public"? It would be contained within a person's body.

Did you even read the article you linked?

I don't doubt that there are potential issues, but you are already wasting your time by coming up with issues that aren't relevant to what's currently being worked on. Where will they get the blood.
