The horrors of such weather. Why didn't her company demand that she stay home? Are employers really this unaware of such dangers in their location? Some commentors blame the mayor for not issuing a weather warning.

RIP

A woman, 22, who froze to death while trapped in her car by snow yesterday sent a video to her family hours before she died awaiting rescue.

Anndel Taylor was found dead in her car after she became stranded over the weekend on her way home from work in Buffalo.

She was one of 35 in the city to succumb to the extreme cold in the worst winter storm to hit the United States in a generation.

The U.S. was still bracing for yet more snowfall and for the death toll — which has reached 60 nationally — to rise further.

Taylor was trapped in her vehicle for 18 hours, as more than 50 inches of snow surrounded her vehicle.

In her final messages to family over WhatsApp on Christmas Eve, Taylor said she was “scared” and sent two videos capturing the blizzard blowing around her. She shows the windshields of her car completely covered in snow as she rolls down her window.

It is not clear if Taylor died from hypothermia or from carbon monoxide poisoning after snow blocked the exhaust pipe as she attempted to keep herself warm.

She should have called 911.
Or maybe her family/friends could have attempted to rescue her.
They say to have some emergency supplies in your car, like a blanket and some water, jumper cables......
Or perhaps she could have walked to a house or business.
BTW, usually the hot exhaust will melt the snow around a tailpipe.

Call the Mayor? The Mayor is a Marxist moron.

She would have had a better shot at getting rescued by Diaper Joe being an American in Afghanistan and left behind as he pulls out.

The reason unions were created in this country is because employers don't care if employees live or die. It's up to employees to care about that.

It's shocking that her family and friends did not try to rescue her.
But, maybe the weather was just too severe for people to try.
At least they could have called 911 for her.

I am baffled by stories like these.

If the car was running, it is hot and will melt any snow that falls on or around it.

So many questions.

Um, what the actual fuck?!!!

Instead of speed dialing 911 she’s making a selfie?

22 is just too young. RIP

She did. And they did. A sad story.

Why did she leave work? Why not find a shelter near her job? In these kinds of emergencies the words, "stay where you are" takes on a special meaning.
