Saudi Oil Minister Reiterates No-Cut Pledge

You sound disappointed. I suspect Cuba is acting in its perceived best interests. I have absolutely no prob with America doing the same. You're not one of those "America is the Great Satan" types, are you?
BTW, Cuba will pay for developing and producing their new oil resources and American companies may (and should) benefit. Agree?

but what about global "cough" warming ??

What about it? You failed to answer either of the questions posed. Are you changing the subject or being facetious?

What about it ? Well naturally is should be of concern to all of us. Developing oil reserves in the gulf could be disastrous to the AGW cult. Do I hate America ? Which America are you talking about it ?
Cuba is a poor country but it could prosper as long as we don't worry about AGW.

Why so vague? This is an obscure, anonymous message board. You've spewed in all directions but have answered none of the questions posed. You introduced the "AGW cult" as if they have something to do with this discussion. You obfuscate when asked about your hate for America. That Cuba is a poor country is a function of socialism which tends to reduce all who embrace it to poverty. Do you have a prob with American companies partnering with Cuba to help lift them out of their poverty? I can't tell what it is you believe.

Maybe if you were specific with your questions you could get the answers you are looking for. If normalizing relations with Cuba involves a rapid upturn in the burning of fossil fuel I would think the AGW cult might have a problem with that.

So. I never understood "economics"---but it seems to me
that the Saudis are under cutting the competition-----even when the competition includes members of the UMMAH

Yup. They can either defend market share by dropping the price they will sell at, or they can defend the price by producing less and restricting supply. Non-cooperation is the weakness of any economic cartel.

The US airline industry has the same issues. They can either cooperate, and restrict the number of seats, or they can fight it out with a price war and lower the price of each seat. The airline cartel is holding fast, but the oil cartel is not.
Until they figure out how to establish high speed rail over vast distances of ocean, they have a monopoly. Though in any case trains, buses, or cars, always have an hour to hour and a half headstart due to airport security and delays.

I have the answer------suspend swinging transport vessels from comets-----why do you imagine we worked so hard to
finally reach and implant an appliance upon a comet?

We ? Are you a member of the EU ?

Too bad US when frackers can't compete

Let them improve the cost of their technology and they can.

Indeed.
The process has undergone significant efficiencies in the last 30 years and surely more are to come. Fracking costs in the US range from $25/bbl-$95/bbl so the higher cost oil can not be profitably produced currently. I'd rather see tax breaks or even subsidies for US shale producers as lower energy prices means a healthier American economy and less dependence on foreign (read: OPEC) sources.

No tax breaks until the personal income tax for personal incomes are slashed in half and all corporate income tax is lowered to 25% and all tax breaks are ended.

Fixing our tax structure is a fine idea but when Frackers stop producing we will once again be buying oil from from countries that use their wealth to undermine our interests.
