Sanders Tweets 'How Many Yachts Do Billionaires Need? How Many Cars?

How are we going to save the planet if everybody buys more than they need.....think of how green the nuke family was....only one car....only one person commuting to work......just mandating only one car per household would reduce our green house emissions immensely

True, but if I were President today, I would be pushing this country into a four day work week.

You drive to work and put in an 8 hour day. Wouldn't it be better to put in two extra hours and work four days instead?

Think of the fuel savings. One less day of rush hour. One less day of busses and trains running. Some people travel 30,40,50 miles to get to work everyday. Their savings would really add up at the end of the month.

Who would object? The environmentalists can't object because a four day work week would result in less pollution. The right can't object because the decrease in fuel would lower the price at the pump. Families would welcome the idea because nearly everybody would have a three day weekend to spend together.

Sanders demonstrates, yet again, what an economic idiot he truly is. If Americans decided to purchase only what they NEED, the economy would tank in a millisecond. Does anybody really "need" a $5 cup of coffee or a $50 bottle of table wine, or BOTTLED FUCKING WATER?

Idiota.

Nope. That's why advertising exists ---- to persuade the unwashed to go buy shit they don't need. Because if it's something you need ---- you don't have to be told you need it.

---- which is in turn why TV exists. To sell Viagra and trucks that can haul an asteroid and body odor maskers. If there was actual need for that shit --- the market would respond to it.

What was the question again?
You just described the entire fucking fashion industry run by liberals.

Twitterers respond with how many houses do you need?
Once again, the lack of self awareness of the left is mind boggling.

Sanders Asks How Many Yachts Billionaires Need, Twitter Asks How Many Houses He Needs

And the correct answer is:

However many they fucking want. It's their money.

In your opinion it's OK even if it's a tax dodge?

Is it a TAX DODGE, or is it a LEGAL LOOPHOLE? If it is illegal, prosecute. If it is legal and you don't like it, change the law.

Why do you continue to protect those (like me) that continue to fuck you?

Why do you continue (along with envious pricks like Sanders) to attack those who are richer (i.e. smarter) than you?

Perhaps you misunderstood. My idea is for Americans to work 4-10 hour days instead of 5-8 hour days. If you put in OT, then of course that has to be considered. Companies that work 6-8 hour days could be cut to 5-10 hour days and so on.

It couldn't apply to everybody just like 5-8 hour days we have today, but 5-8 hour days are considered the standard that the majority live by.

I haven't worked an 8 hour day in ten years.

What must never be forgotten about liberals is that they create their own reality.

I am sure Sanders believes what he owns is a product of his hard work. That because of his hard work he deserves three houses and a great stock portfolio, all earned on the government's dime.

In contrast anyone not a liberal didn't earn anything they have it was stolen from the poor. How someone steals from the poor who have nothing to steal is never fully explained but it fits nicely with creating their own created reality.

You wouldn't lose any pay. 5 x 8 = 40... 4 x 10 = 40.

4 10's are nice. It takes a little to get acclimated to a longer work day, but it'd doable. You get a 3 day weekend every week. The issue with it is with the employer. The usually don't pay but 8 hours for paid holidays.

Also, many places that employ 4 10's split their work force. Half works Mon - Thurs, while the other works Tues - Fri, therefore their business is open for the full 5 day work week. Employers like it because the get more production from their workers.

Another upside of 4 10's is you have more time with the family. You're able to take little mini-vacations to get away for a while. That extra day away from work is a real plus for you sanity also.

I speak from experience on this because I worked many years like this. Like I stated previously, it takes a little getting used to, but the upside is well worth it.

Well like I said, one rule can't apply to everybody just like it doesn't apply to everybody today. But for those that do work 5-10 hour days, I think it would be great to change that standard.

At least over here, very few companies work 4-10's. I talked with people that do, and I haven't heard one objection. They all love it.

Companies shut down their business for the weekend meaning during the winter months, they turn down their heat. Monday morning is when they have start up. That means running their furnaces on high until the place warms up. From what I understand, it takes a lot of heat for a start up. Then the rest of the week they turn it down, but not nearly as much as on Friday.

For the life of me, I can't see any disadvantages of going to a 4-10 work week.

Bernie Sanders Buys His Third House
The perpetually aggrieved Vermont senator helps himself to a modest lakefront property."

Bernie Sanders Buys His Third House

The guy is a hypocrite and there is nothing you can say or do to change it.

Don't stop there --- explain.

Nope, it's self explanatory.

So you can't support your own assertion. Thanks for confirming what I already knew.

Actually that's the point, it needs no simplification at all. She just doesn't like it and is trying to play games.
We know honey, you're a legend in your own mind. If the meaning of the post was beyond your ability to understand you are quite simply simple.
It would be simpler to simply simplify it for the simpleton.

Since when does govt give a damn about what you want as far as saving the planet.....sacrifice is the order of the day

The Left thinks hating the "rich" is the way to go.

What that does is send Burger King's HQ to Canada - the "way" to go = jobs LEAVING THE US.

Bernie Sanders' fantasy is to be just like Greece, where nobody works, everyone is on the dole, and hence the Socialist Left never loses.... until the money runs out and the currency goes to ZERO.

His vacation home was inherited by his wife when her parents died, she swapped it for a cottage closer to where they live so they can utilize it.
Not one of the news articles have ever said inherited, it's all he purchased. But if that's the theme you're going for then why would you insist everyone but him have their inheritance taxed so the wealth can't be just given to someone like...Oh, I don't know maybe a senator who never made a dime on his own and should be the least deserving of any inheritance? Shouldn't the government get that property?

"A senator who never made a dime on his own?" What, Senators (and Congressmen, and mayors) don't get paid now?

Anyway Rump has never been a Senator.

This discussion for 4 ten hour days was going around back in the early 70's. Especially in some trades, just getting set up for the job every day, then having to break down every night and putting tools, etc. back in their location every night takes time also, not counting the drive to and from work.

And Bernie's never had a real job. We're even. Well except that Bernie and Donald both suck.

If the yacht had a US flag flying you might be correct, but, say the yacht is flying under one of many foreign flags, the US would have no authority under maritime law.

A Senator NEVER makes a dime on his own?
