It MIGHT BE. But not from back radiation of the IR energy from Carbon Dioxide. The wavelengths of "heat energy" from CO2 don't penetrate more than a couple millimeters of water.

Even the top warming scientists had a big scrimmage about that when Trenberth et al published their "the oceans ate our global warming" study back around 2008.. Could not agree on HOW that radiation would find its way down 700 meters deep in the oceans.

More likely would be a delayed response to the 1.2Watts/m2 of increased Total Solar Irradiation since the Little Ice Age that plateaued out in the late 60s.
