Saddam Officials Financed Secret Pre-War Iraq Trip for U.S. Lawmakers, Prosecutors Sa

WASHINGTON — Three U.S. lawmakers made a trip to Iraq that was secretly financed by Saddam Hussein's intelligence agency during the run-up to the U.S.-led invasion, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

An indictment unsealed in Detroit accuses Muthanna Al-Hanooti, a member of a Michigan nonprofit group, of arranging for the members of Congress to travel to Iraq in October 2002 at the behest of Saddam's regime.

Prosecutors say Iraqi intelligence officials paid for the trip through an intermediary, and that Al-Hanooti received 2 million barrels of oil for his role.

At the time, the Bush administration was trying to persuade Congress to authorize military action against Iraq.

None of the lawmakers in question was charged and Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said investigators "have no information whatsoever" any of them knew the trip was underwritten by Saddam.

It is illegal to act as an intermediary of a foreign Country in the US with out registering as such.

this is not nearly as surprising as similar events.

such as the 100 plus members of the Bin Laden family who were flown out of the country to safe houses in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Or the 100 plus members of AL QUEDA which the US GOVERNMENT flew out of Afghanistan, and too safety following the shortlived War in Afghanistan, which turned out to be a staged war for your mental stability. However, when the American people learn that our country aided the enemy they claimed to be fighting, it ends up destabilizing the mental. Of course, youd think news like that would be huge, itd be everywhere, TREASON LIARS KILLERS THUGS, they are lying to you, THEY ARE BRINGING AN END TO THE REPUBLIC!!! but not, nothing in the news. FOX news claimed the US government 'made a mistake' hahahahahaa fucking good one. a 'mistake' consisting of loading more then a hundred Al Queada members onto US JETS and flying them out of Afghanistan.... and thats a mistake!?

or, more disturbingly how the alleged hijackers of flight 51 as well as some of the others were trained by the FBI, on US bases, given flight training, some were previous FBI operative...

how much has to come out before people get really angry about all of it?
