Rush to Failure

Rush said nothing wrong. Compare the comments from Rush to most liberals during the Bush era and they are pretty tame.

What he said may be tame compared to what Liberals said during Bush's era, but does that make it "right"? If we are going to take the high road, shouldn't we be above that or have other conservatives said, "screw the high road, this is war?

Immie

I don't know about Rush, don't listen to him, though I've been reading a lot about him lately. ;) I do think the criticisms of the Obama administration thus far have been on topic, not personality. I think that in and of itself is more than a step above what was done to GW.

See... all the Democrats wanted was power. Now that they attained it, they don't know how to handle it properly.

Wow, and the Repubs didn't want power and really used it well when they had it.

I am constantly amazed at the meaningless drivel we read here.

So far the issue has helped point out divide in the Repub party. Keep the focus on them in their disfuntionality. Smart move.

Yeah agreed.

More Dem. partisan nonsense.

Were the DNC really smart, they'd let the Republicans battle this out without getting involved.

Instead, by insinuating themselves into this internacine battle, they actually make the Republican Party more cohesive by giving it an outside enemy to hate..

SOME of you might be cynical enough to see that THAT is exactly the idea.

SOME of you might be cynical enough to realize that the Republican Party NEEDS the DEMOCRATIC PARTY and vice versa.

That's interesting.

Do you think conservative americans need liberal americans? (and vice versa)

"Internacine" editec? Had to look that one up in the dictionary. Good word, however it's spelled with an e instead of an a. "Internecine."

If I used the dictionary more often, I'd have known that.

I probably mispronounce it, too.

My "Philly cheesteak" accent flattens vowels to the point where a, e, i, and os are often indistintiguisable to my ears.

Although the people who sound just like me, but whose SATs were higher than mine, never seem to have that problem, I've noticed.

Perhaps they're don't have my English speaking challenged authentic accent?

Perhaps I simply never learned to decode. I might very well have a 40,00 word sight vocab.

I so hated school when I was young. It would be just like the young editec to memorize words without having learned to sound them out...just out of stubbornness!

See... all the Democrats wanted was power. Now that they attained it, they don't know how to handle it properly. Rush Limbaugh is a strong conservative voice who articulates accurate and constitutional points about this nation. There is NO POLITICAL GAIN in attacking him. Clinton tried it in 93 in an attempt to keep Congress for the Dems, and failed.

The Democrats current leadership is conveying FAILED European Socialist ideas on the economy, healthcare, military, etc. Again, they have FAILED... and yet we are going to waist our time and money on them???? YES, I WANT OBAMA'S SOCIALIST POLICIES TO FAIL. If you actually listened to Rush Limbaugh's recording of what he said, you would hear the same thing. CNN, Moveon.org, etc are just taking it out of context, and the Leftist Democratic Leadership are going along with it, and it will be to their ultimate demise.

Hmmmm....... Failed European Socialism? They live longer that we do, their children are healthier than ours are, and many of them enjoy a higher standard of living that we do. But they represent failure? :doubt:

Then again, you could have just said 'thanks,' and be glad to be done with.

The dumbest possible course of action by the Dems. It's almost like they are hell bent on political suicide. If you are going to turn someone into the next Tom Delay or newt Gingrich, make sure he doesn't talk to 20 million people everyday. And make sure that he doesn't have a cadre of water carriers that will leap to his defense so that the airwaves are filled with 18 hours + per day of counters to any charges put forth by the Dems.

Further, guess what? It's a dumb idea to take an entertainer and raise his status to the level where the White House is commenting on him. Fine, Rush is Rush. He's been doing this 20 years. But, you can't fall into the trap of calling him out. He has nothing to lose and nothing but audience to gain by being pilloried by the White House and their cheap imitation of the plumbers. Starring Paul Begala as G. Gordon Liddy.

It really ONLY makes sense, Tech, if you're SEEKING to make RUSH the heart and soul of the Rs. To make his cadre of supporters pressure the Rs to get more and more radically right.

And, were I the Dems poli Machevelli, I would ONLY do that, if I had the goods on Rush, and was raising him UP to drop the equivalent of a diirty BOMB on the R party at EXACTLY the right moment.

Of course, we ALL know that the upstanding players in the parties are that devious.

Only somebody as cynical as I am thinks like that the movers and shakers of the world think in such convoluted ways as that.

Right?

Obama is an entertainer. He gets the same publicity as Angelina Jolie and she's an entertainer. Imagine if he was a leader and told Washington "read, my lips, no more earmarks." Wait, we'll work on it next time. But let's rush on.

Obama is President Barak Hussein Obama. President of the United States of America. Commander in Chief of the most effective military in the world.

This is war, Obama is attempting to reshape our country. Obama needs to be stopped. 2010 cannot come fast enough.

President Barak Hussein Obama is reshaping our nation. And all for the good. Keep ol' Druggie Rush yapping, 70 Dem Senators, and another 30 or so Dem Reps in 2010.

Do you fear there was someone who didn't know that? Perhaps you were afraid your buddies think there's a ninth way to deal with the problem?

Hmmm...well, yes and no.

I think the RNC needs the DNC and vice versa.

But then too I think they're playing a good cop.bad cop game on the American people.

But as to (small c) concersavtives needing (small l) liberals and vice versa?

Yes, of course we need each other.

We need each other ESPECIALLY of we're being played as patsies.

One group us us needs to gather the faggots for the pryre, and the rest of us can fan the flames.

We're all Americans, after all. Every time there is a REAL emergency, every time America is truly threatened, we remember that.

Now if American ever realize that they're being played for fools, that's the time when we REALLY have to come together.

We're ALL being screwed here.

Is that not yet OBVIOUS to you?

Absolutely.

Their merely well off don't get to drive that third Mercedes while watching the rest of their population starve like ours does.

You don't call that a failure of European socialism?

American socialism for the rich works much better for our wealthy, than European socialism for their not so nearly wealthy.

This post reeks of Liberal Elitism...

The Republicans did a lot of good things and their fair share of stupid things. The Democrats have had their moments... but have done a lot of stupid things too. The current shift of Democrats (moreso in leadership than the actual party) to socialism is what will tare the Democratic Party in two.... eventually.

The Republican Party has some disagreements, yes, however the party is not divided when it comes to these 2 principles: Defend America and defeat socialism. Defeating Liberal Elitism just comes naturally ;)

Portions of European socialism has failed... while other parts of it are in the process of failing. Please show me where people are doing better overall than the US Citizens. The elites of Europe that benefit from the socialism but do nothing but govern do NOT count. Don't forget that several countries in Europe are crumbling because their pipe-dream, peace-nic, socialist views are allowing radical muslims to take over their nations and destroy their societies. Don't forget that the few actual hard-workers are paying for the many people who don't. Socialism isn't failing you say??? You must not have done your homework.... or any at all...

UK living standards outstrip US
Living standards outstrip those across the Atlantic for first time in over a centuryDavid Smith, Economics Editor
LIVING standards in Britain are set to rise above those in America for the first time since the 19th century, according to a report by the respected Oxford Economics consultancy.

The calculations suggest that, measured by gross domestic product per capita, Britain can now hold its head up high in the economic stakes after more than a century of playing second fiddle to the Americans.

It says that GDP per head in Britain will be £23,500 this year, compared with £23,250 in America, reflecting not only the strength of the pound against the dollar but also the UK economy’s record run of growth and rising incomes going back to the early 1990s.

In those days, according to Oxford Economics, Britain’s GDP per capita was 34% below that in America, 33% less than in Germany and 26% lower than in France. Now, not only have average incomes crept above those in America but they are more than 8% above France (£21,700) and Germany (£21,665).

“The past 15 years have seen a dramatic change in the UK’s economic performance and its position in the world economy,” said Adrian Cooper, managing director of Oxford Economics. “No longer are we the ‘sick man of Europe’. Indeed, our calculations suggest that UK living standards are now a match for those of the US.

ROFL... Leave it to the Socialists to find a point of pride where a standard FELL BELOW that of THEIR OWN!

Yet another clue as to the lefts confusion in what would appear to be the most complex formula in all of political correctness: Self Esteem!

In effect the Brits are saying: "WOO HOO! Look Mates, They SUCK worse then WE DO!"

And we have the same SUCKERS to thank for it as the Brits: The Ideological Left! I say we keep following these losers just to see how bad it can REALY get!
