Romney's Biggest Hurdle?

Romney's biggest hurdle will be convincing working class swing voters in the rust belt battleground states that he will treat them better than Obama will.

Tough sell after trying to throw 'em under the bus ...

But of course his remedy is to flip flop and try to pretend he didn't.

Again, nothing novel or groundbreaking in political terms, I just wonder if the whole "spin over substance" campaign will fly.

Obama's biggest problem when he ran was his record at um .... errrr .... uhhhhh.... well what about.... ummmm ...Nevermind.

So he didn't have much of a record at all four years ago and he was likeable?

Whereas Romney has a poor record and real likeability issues?

yeah he didn't do dick to deserve to be President but got elected anyway. So who cares about records. Anyone can do this job.

Romney is doing quite well with hurdles. It's obama that's in trouble. He made a mistake in trying to fabricate a war on women and came across as both patronizing and condescending instead. He made a mistake in personalizing Trayvon Martin as his son when Martin turned out to be a little street thug drug addict. He made a mistake in supporting same sex marriage. obama has turned out to be obama's biggest hurdles.

Compared to that, Romney is doing quite well.

Baine would never have come up if Romney did not try and sell himself as a job creator. Romney is not a job creator is is a job killer.

The war on women is all from the right and their support for Taliban style religion against women and their rights to women's health care is their main goal. The only thing Romney supports about women is barefoot and pregnant.

Well he could have touted his years as chairman and board member of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge where he worked with Bill "just a guy in the neighborhood" Ayers, unrepentant American terrorist, but for some strange and unknown reason Barry never talks about his CAC days. I find that exceedingly strange and hope now that his real vetting is going to take place this go-round that someone digs into it. Gotta be a reason the idiot in chief doesn't want to discuss what CAC did, especially where the hundreds of millions of dollars ended up.

America knows less about this guy than any President before him. I don't get why people accept the secrecy and his lack of experience. But hey he sure set the standard low to be President and maybe that's what America needs.

RomneyCare provided public funding and public subsidies for abortions but now he says he's anti-abortion. RomneyCare included the individual mandate and Romney said the federal plan should include the individual mandate - but now he says he's anti individual mandate ...

Women (and men too for that matter) have no clue what they might expect from Romney. He hasn't stuck to any position long enough to create any expectations. And when it comes right down to it - THAT may be his biggest hurdle: Trying to convince people that they hate Obama enough to roll the dice and take whichever Romney eventually shows up.

Yes, well when evolving "a few minutes ago" simply becomes part of the process.

Nope. Obama supported gay rights during his Illinois Senate tenure. He sponsored legislation in Illinois that would ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

Nope - the views he expressed there are consistent. Did you listen to the whole segment?

IMHO it isn't his record at Bain.
I think it's his record in Massachusetts.
During his term the state's rank in job creation fell from 36th to 47th. This fairy tale of "his history of creating jobs" is pure myth.

On spending, from 2003 to 2007 Massachusetts's goverment spending went from 22.25 billion to 25.44 billion (about 24%).

His biggest accomplishment was implementing ObamaCare in Massachusetts,

Sure, candidates successfully pull off similar illusions on the voters all too frequently.
Can Romney pull it off?

Doesn't look like he did in Massachusetts. His exit approval rating was 34. And now, the only place that elected him to public office is considered out-of-reach for him with Obama leading by 22 points (RCP poll average).

When was the last time a president was elected without winning his home state?

See what presiding over LIBERALISM gets you?
