The only conservatives I have seen that want it gone are some of the people I see post here, I have not heard 1 person say that in real life or tv.
It's already gone, bro. It only affects government contracting these days.
But, let me spin it like this. If Romney bragged about not knowing any qualified blacks to put into his cabinet, and went to the NAACP to find people, and they gave him a binder filled with resumes of competent black men and women, and Romney plugged a bunch of those folks into cabinet jobs because they were black, would you think he even has the faintest clue what it means to be black and what is needed to address America's racial issues, or is committed to ending racism?
Or, would you think he was just a different kind of racist?
If it's already gone, why do some 'conservatives' refer to President Obama as the "Affirmative Action President"?
Because it helps salve their wounded pride.
God forbid they take responsibility and admit that Obama ran a better campaign than McCain, that he talked a better game, that he picked a better VP, and that America choose the democratic candidate.
All they can say its "it's cuz hes black!", "white guilt!", "affirmative action!"
